Not Your Grandfather’s Elves: Set Photos Show Us The Dark Elves, Malekith the Accursed from Thor: The Dark World

These set photos from Thor: The Dark World give us our first good look at the Dark Elves and their leader, Malekith the Accursed, played by Christopher Eccleston. Well, the guy with the exposed face might be Malekith the Accursed. We don’t know for sure. A closer shot of him, whoever he is, is under the jump, as well as one of the masked elves.

    The new helmets remind me an awful lot of the Cybermen. Though I suppose that is appropriate, considering Nine’s involvement.

    I do believe that’s another actor of some sort. Christopher Eccleston’s face is shaped very differently.
