There’s just… something about this that seems off.

  • I know musical theater geeks are off on the fringes of geekdom, but I need everybody to give me a moment to be really excited and emotional for my favorite musical being made into a movie and Anne Hathaway can like totally sing I mean dang. Look, I just want to see Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe fill a screen with angst, failed idealism, misplaced inter-class solidarity, and incidental-at-best female characters. (The Frisky)
  • And in the meantime, while everybody is flipping out about Iron Man 3 reveals and rumors, Kevin Feige would like everybody to know that Thanos will not be the villain of Thor 2. (Collider)

You might be familiar with Garfield Minus Garfield, an experiment that turns Garfield comics into bizarre existential shots to the gut. Turns out Jim Davis totally did the same thing in actual Garfield comics in 1989, but in reverse. (Laughing Squid)

    That Chinese box art cracked me up. Oh god.

    And I remember that Garfield comic. I find the comics a bit droll and redundant as a whole, but that one in particular always stuck with me.

    The Garfield strip was based on a short animated film (silent, but French, I believe). I watched it… ended up a teary mess.

    Oh my god do I want to see that version of Les Miserables. I also very much want a copy of her singing that on the OST. Now!

    Hugh Jackman’s always been one of my crushes, even if he’s old enough to be my father. 

    I absolutely love that hammer in the GoT poster. I can just imagine the damage it’d do in the show.

    It’d be covered in skull bits, grey matter and blood in minutes.

    Visited the Philippines last week and while my 4-year old son and I were leaving a mall, he shrieked that he wanted to look at the “box” of “Avengers”. It of course contained Captain America, Batman (with wings), Spiderman, and a very strange looking Hulk. Made in China.
