Things We Saw Today: A Chewbacca Cameo

What, did you think I was talking about movies? (Fashionably Geek)

Amanda Conner‘s variant cover for X-Men #2, featuring an all-female team. Looks like Jubilee does about as well as I do with babies. (The Beat)

I am optimistic about The Croods, and I hope nothing, least of all the actual movie, takes that away from me. (The Daily Blam)

Clever. Very clever. (Nerd Approved)

“Michigan lawmakers are trying for another medically-unnecessary-transvaginal-ultrasound requirement bill. (The Frisky)”

This has to count as ‘rape’ by the state. You want to control the female body, you ‘force’ as many objects into them, genitally, as much as possible, in any way as possible. Can you imagine the girls/women being forced a probe in the vagina, if they were ALREADY raped by another “male force?”

If Pro-Lifers are now trying to make an abortion as inconvenient as possible, with transvaginal ultrasounds now, I’m now calling them Female Rapers, too.

I think “female rapers” is unecessary for problematic reasons, but I do completely agree that this is rape. And seriously, they just want these people with uteri to “know what they’re getting into”, as if they don’t already know? Only in a rape culture do bills like these even exist.

Now that I think about it, the term, “Female Rapers” totally could mean something extremely what I didn’t mean (One, and ‘I’ meant, people who rape females, and two, and what I ‘didn’t’ mean, rapers who ARE females.). My context obviously leads to what I what trying to say, which was the Pro Raping of Females, but that phrase can still get taken out of context, WAY too easily.
