Things We Saw Today: Check Out The Force Awakens‘ Unboxing Special, Live!

As we said before, there’s a huge three day livestreaming event to build momentum for Force Friday, when all the Star Wars: The Force Awakens merch hits shelves. Well, that event has just launched, and you can tune in above, or head on over to YouTube to check it all out. Settle in, folks. This is going to be a long stream. (via Wired)

  • We’ve got two Supergirl casting announcements to share today, too! First off, according to ComingSoon.net, we’ve got Iddo Goldberg, who’ll be bringing Red Tornado to life. Then, according to Comic Book Resources, we’ve got famous character actor Glenn Morshower who’ll be starring as Lucy and Lois Lane’s overprotective father. Hmm. Thoughts?

Apparently President Obama is going to be guest starring on an episode of Running Wild, the nature survival show starring Bear Grylls. Of course, they couldn’t let the President run too wild off the grid. In fact, there’s totally six secret service agents in this photo alone. Can you spot them? (Not really, we’re just kidding.   • This last one’s a bit of a downer and a blast from the past. Famous Disney actor Dean Jones has passed away at the age of 84. He starred in great Disney classics like That Darn CatThe Love Bug, and The Shaggy D.A.. (via The Hollywood Reporter)
