Things We Saw Today: Here’s a Video of Sammus’ Incredible OSCON Keynote

Recommended Videos

We adore Sammus around here. Like, hella adore. It’s in and with that adoration that we share her opening keynote for OSCON, where she starts with a musical performance then breaks into an incredible talk about her own experiences with tech. This is an absolute must watch. (via Boing Boing)

  • The Bob’s Burgers cast got super meta with this upcoming parody movie based on the live comedy tour about the Bob’s Burgers show. Wrap your head around that one and check out the hilarious trailer over here when you’re ready. (via The Daily Dot)
  • Digimon voice actress Yuko Mizutani passed away today. In addition to providing the voice for Sora in Digimon, her voice has been featured in Mobile Suit Zeta GundamChibi Maruko ChanDigimon Adventure, and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal. (via Kotaku)

In a video that is way too adorable for words, Coyote Peterson, explorer and host of YouTube nature show Brave Wilderness, happened upon an ocelot kitten in the wild while he was searching for critters and snakes. According to the video, the kitten just darted in out of nowhere and followed the crew for a few hours while they were filming. As well, they weren’t worried about interacting with it too much because the kitten already has a reputation for playing with and being okay around humans. Just let the cuteness wash over you. Oh, and check out those massive jellybean toes! So cute. So (relatively) smol. (via Laughing Squid)

  • (Spoilers for The Dark Tower!): Thanks to a tweet from Stephen King, it appears that the upcoming adaptation of The Dark Tower might very well play with the very continuity of the show itself. Scott Wampler over at Birth.Movies.Death. has a fantastic breakdown of what that King tweet might mean!
  • Like it or not, here it comes: Sherlock Holmes 3 will apparently start filming this fall, according to producer Joel Silver. In addition to that, he said that there could be more sequels coming down the line. Are you ready for more slow-mo sequences and Robert Downey, Jr. talking in an English accent? (via Collider)

Hella things. Hella. Yeah I said it. What’d y’all see today? (Was it hella things?)
