Heroes don’t have facial hair. That’s a villain thing. But Superstaches by Wes Montgomery depicts superheroes from DC and Marvel hairier than normal. Though Tony Stark’s illustration makes perfect sense if you ask me…

I know, I know, stick with this one until it gets out of the prequel trilogy, and you’ll realize an interesting truth: Yoda mostly drops the object-subject-verb order when he’s saying things of great importance and philosophical relevance, i.e., his most moving scenes. And also that you still get chills when he says “That is why you fail.”

We brought you teaser information about a special Star Wars project a few months back. Called Star Wars: Identities, the museum exhibit will explore the characters of George Lucas’ classic series in depth in an interactive space. The Canadian ad agency that created the initial Darth Vader inkblog teaser, Bleublancrouge, has now put together six spectacular posters for the latest ad campaign. Creator of The Dreamer Lora Innes has gotten 127 artists together to fight human trafficking at Comic Creators for Freedom. Each artist is tasked with creating an original female character, which will be incorporated into one big picture — of an epic snowball fight. So far, they’ve raised $15,000, and you can add your two cents (or more) by downloading the picture as wallpaper through January 20. (via Geek With Curves)

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Brisk commercial in that Celebrity Death Match-style and frankly, we weren’t really missing it but it works great in this particular situation. (Even if it’s really a commercial for Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace 3D) It’s Darth Maul vs. Yoda for the first time! Too bad Darth Maul had a super-late night being bad.
Make sure to pause it on the broom closet for some cute easter eggs.

I think it’s safe to say that we all understood that there would be some improvements made to the Star Wars trilogies when they finally got a Blu-ray release this year. Color correction, gaffes edited out, widescreen widened, sound clarified, you know, actual remastering, not the stuff that George Lucas seems to consider “remastering.” And, in fact, The Digital Bits has an extensive list of improvements that Lucasfilm has made to each trilogy for the Blu-ray release, gathered by taking an actual look at the disks that will be going into the set. Which just so happens to include one significant change to Episode I, and possibly other things.
Now, don’t get too excited, it’s not like George cut out Jar Jar. He put in a CGI Yoda.
