Some Elder Vampires React To Twilight. Wait, No. I Meant Elderly People. [VIDEO]

I’m sure there are some elderly folks out there who enjoy Twilight but these women and men aren’t them. To be fair, the Fine Brothers didn’t show them the entire film, just the trailer for Breaking Dawn Part 2, and asked for their impressions. Which, as you can imagine, are humorous. Enjoy!

Twilight’s Robert Pattinson Would Take Any Role Just To Be In Star Wars VII

Robert Pattinson is doing a lot of press these days thanks to the final installment of the Twilight franchise, Breaking Dawn Part 2, being released this past week. Since he’s not actually the biggest fan of anything having to do with Twilight, interviewers take part of their time to ask him other, more interesting questions. For instance, would he be interested in a role in Disney’s Star Wars VII? Yes, yes he would. And he is willing to play anyway. Yes, anyone, even Jar-Jar.

First Time Lionsgate Has Two Films Make Over $125 Million In The Same Year They Do It With Female Leads

There’s been a lot of talk about how Hollywood doesn’t believe female-led films will make money at the box office and that’s why so few are made. This year not only proved them wrong, it proved them wrong in a big way. Indie studio Lionsgate has done something they’ve never done before – in 2012, they had two films both make over $125 million in North American theaters. The films? The Hunger Games and Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Man Arrested For Planning A Twilight: Breaking Dawn Theater Shooting

We were shocked and devastated earlier this year when we heard the news of a gunman entering a theater showing The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado and opening fire. Twelve people were killed, 58 injured, and countless affected. That’s why it’s so hard to comprehend someone trying to copy the behavior of the shooter. Crisis was averted yesterday when police arrested a 20-year-old man after receiving a tip from his mother. She believed he was planning an attack on a theater full of people sitting down to watch the last film in the Twilight series this week and it turns out she was right.

Robert Pattinson Speaks On Behalf Of Every Twilight Hater In The World [VIDEO]

Whenever we do a post on Twilight on The Mary Sue, we inevitably get comments with people talking about how much they despise Stephenie Meyer’s writing, the actors involved, or just, you know, the fact that it exists at all. But the funny thing is, you clicked on a story about Twilight so we’re not sure how to help you. So today, in order to please both those who hate sparkly vampires and those who’ve probably already seen The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 by now, we’ve got a wonderful video from Buzzfeed. They spliced together bits of interviews with Robert Pattinson talking about the films and his character Edward. Which he can’t stand. And well, I’d feel really bad for him if he didn’t have hundred dollar bills falling on the floor every time he raked his hands through his hair. Seriously though. Watch.

Twilight Is Almost Over, Host Fever Begins [TRAILER]

I have no problem admitting I’ve read Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series (yes, even that bit online from Edward’s point of view). I don’t think it’s classic literature, but I enjoyed it for what it was. What I haven’t read is Meyer’s previous novel, The Host, which has a very Invasion of the Body Snatchers-type premise. I haven’t heard great things about it, but Summer Entertainment has timed its release very well to coincide with the ending of the Twilight Saga films. It stars Saoirse Ronan in the lead role though, and I adore her. Good trailer if nothing else?

Not all that glitters is gold

The Hobbit Reaches #1 in Online Ticket Sales, Has Probably Already Made More Money Than You Do in a Year

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is already doing pretty well for itself at the box office. Last Wednesday, the first day tickets went on sale, the film grabbed a third of all Fandango ticket sales, handily beating Skyfall (out today) and previous number one Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (out next week).

You can make the point that there’s not too much competition on a Wednesday, and also that of course The Hobbit will grab the #1 spot on the first day tickets for it are on sale. You’d be right. But it’s still in the #3 spot today, despite the fact that it’s not coming out for over a month. And anyway, you’re missing the point. The Hobbit is a force to be reckoned with. Respect The Hobbit!
