  1. Guardians of the Galaxy Gets an Extended Trailer

12% is better than 11%. That math holds up.

Marvel would very much like you to be excited for Guardians of the Galaxy. It's a bit of a gamble on their part since it's not a widely known property like The Avengers or some of the other characters they've already brought to the screen, but if what we've seen so far is any indication, this movie is going to be great.

  2. Three Short Films Fill in the Gap Between Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Get your hands off me, you—oh, just watch them.

There's a 10-year gap between Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, so Fox has collaborated with Vice to produce short films telling what happened in between. You can watch them here (more below the jump), and they've also got a documentary called Island of the Apes, which will be out later today (trailer below the jump).

  3. Hyrule Warriors‘ New Character Lana Hands out Beat-Downs in Her Character Trailer

How does Ganon ever manage to invade this place?

We've finally got a closer look at Hyrule Warriors' brand new Zelda character, and you do not want to get in her way.

  4. The Guardians of the Galaxy Kick Butt to the Sweet Sounds of The Runaways In Their New Extended TV Spot

    Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!

Less impressive than the above video is Entertainment Tonight's Guardians preview, below, which has some truly obnoxious voiceover. But there's some good footage of Gamora, too, so maybe just mute it.

  5. The First Trailer for Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Is Here!

I find their lack of Jennifer Lawrence disturbing.

It's the first trailer for Mockingjay Part 1! And it... has no sign of Katniss. Maybe that was to make us extra angry at the propaganda message it's going for? It's got a similar style to the previously released propaganda-style character posters. Maybe we'll get a Katniss retaliation trailer soon if the odds are in our favor.

  6. The Trailer Is Out for Abigail Breslin’s Final Girl, One of Three Final Girl-Themed Movies In Development

    Not sure if want.

There's an ABC Family movie called The Final Girls, with Jamie Lee Curtis. There's a The Final Girls starring Taissa Farmiga and Malin Ackerman. This is not either one of those.

  7. Catch up on News and Gameplay You Missed From Nintendo’s Digital E3 2014 Press Conference

Nintendo is finally learning to tap into its audience's interests, and it's awesome.

Nintendo still hasn't won me over on the Wii U, but their press conference was easily the most fun to watch. We got battling Nintendo execs, lots of games that deviate from the "dude with a gun and some photorealistic graphics" genre, and plenty of Smash Bros. and Zelda news.

  8. Alien: Isolation, Grim Fandango, and Little Big Planet: More New E3 Trailers Than You Can Shake a Stick At

    Good News Everyone!

Well, perhaps if you had four sticks, you could shake them at these trailers for Alien: Isolation, in which you get to play as Ellen Ripley's daughter; Batman: Arkham Knight, in which you actually get to drive the Batmobile; LittleBigPlanet 3 in which you can play as some sort of sackbird now, and a remastering of, yes, Grim Fandango.

  9. Microsoft E3 Roundup, Halo, Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, and More

Microsoft didn't want to talk about hardware much this year, so we've got a lot of games to look at.

Of course Halo got a lot of the attention this year with its high definition remakes and upcoming sequel, but Microsoft's entire press conference focused on games today, and there sure were a lot of them. Here are the high points in case you didn't have the time/desire to sit through the whole thing.

  10. Watch the Creepy Trailer for the New Game From Limbo’s Playdead, Inside

Limbo 2—er, Inside looks really great, and I want it right now.

Limbo was one of the most stylish and genuinely creepy and fun indie games in recent memory, and their new game, Inside, looks like all of that and more—in color this time!
