Tony Stark

  1. Elon Musk Is Afraid We Might Create Ultron, He Is Now Officially Tony Stark

There are no strings on Musk.

Now do you believe me that Elon Musk is not-so-secretly Iron Man? The dude is worried about Ultron, for crap's sake! Whoever came up with this viral marketing campaign for Age of Ultron deserves a raise.

  3. Living like Iron Man Would Cost You $10 Million per Year, Movoto Priced the Upkeep of His Mansion

You can't afford Tony Stark's mansion. You can't even afford his Internet.

The good people at Movoto previously decided that you'd have to spend $117.2 million for Tony Stark's mansion, but that's just to buy it. To live in it, you'd have to spend almost $10 million every year to keep it up to your billionaire playboy standards, and what's the point of a nearly $120 million mansion on a cliff if you dont?

  4. Hot Toys Releasing An Iron Man Figure With No Armor, Who’s Really Beat Up, And Has Lots Of Toys

    Excelsior!

Now that I own a Hot Toys figure, I can personally attest to their quality but while they've already produced a few Iron Man collectibles, they've decided to put out another, mostly armor-less one. "Hot Toys is thrilled to introduce the Tony Stark (The Mechanic) Collectible Figurine after the exciting scene where Tony Stark creates homemade weapons to infiltrate The Mandarin’s mansion," they write on Facebook. "Tony Stark in his battle damaged civilian attire in the movie, highlighting the newly developed head sculpt, an advanced body with light-up chest light and greatly detailed weapons and accessories." Take a look.

  7. Dinner and a Movie: Make Arc Reactor Pasta Before Seeing Iron Man 3

Iron Man 3 opens this weekend, and sure, you could just go see the movie, or you could make a night out of it by preparing Tony Stark's Seductively Good Arc Reactor Pasta. That's right, in Kitchen Overlord's quest to make all food more awesome, nerd-chef Chris-Rachael Oseland created a recipe to make fettuccine alfredo look like an arc reactor. There's even a handy graphic.

  9. Robert Downey Jr. Says Being Recast As Iron Man Would “Probably Be The Best Thing In The World”

    Holy Rusted Metal Batman!

We're moving ever closer to the next installment of Marvel's Iron Man, getting new posters every few days, and anxiously awaiting another trailer. And while Robert Downey Jr. may have bombed at the Oscars along with his Avengers co-stars, we know he'll always be awesome as Tony Stark. Or will he? In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, the actor talked about his long love affair with the character and how it may be time for someone to replace him.

  10. What Better Way To Propose Than With Iron Man’s Heart? [VIDEO]

    Excelsior!

Ok, that title may sound slightly gory but trust me, this is great. YouTube user Eddie Zarick has a tendency toward tinkering. So much so that his girlfriend took to calling him Iron Man. So when it was time to propose, he paired both things together and created a replica of Tony Stark's arc reactor that doubled as an engagement ring holder! I guess the only thing cooler would be if Zarick actually had the arc reactor where Stark does but we're glad his ticker is working just fine on its own. i'll just leave this here

  12. How Much Would It Cost To Be Iron Man? A Bunch, And Since We Had To Ask We Can’t Afford It Anyway

    This Makes Sense

It turns out that the cost of being Batman is small potatoes compared to how much Tony Stark has to shell out as an adorable billionaire superhero.  Unfortunately I don't think this informative infographic by Money Supermarket takes into account all the bottles of hard liquor that Tony goes through, but I suppose when you're shelling out $10,000,000 for a Gold-titanium exoskeleton suit, the small expenses don't matter as much. 13. Live With Tony Stark Thanks To Hot Toys’ New Avengers Iron Man Figure

    Excelsior!

Hot Toys keeps trying to make geeks go bankrupt. It's not nice and I demand they stop immediately. Who am I kidding? KEEP MAKING THE AWESOME. We previously showcased their astoundingly realistic Loki statue as well as the moveable-haired Black Widow from their Avengers line. Just yesterday we were happily surprised to find out Agent Coulson is getting his time in the spotlight as well. But while we wait for full images of his figure to be released, Hot Toys has dropped Tony Stark on our doorstep. Take a look at his various accessories and let us know if you think the unmasked hero looks enough like Robert Downey Jr. for your tastes.

  15. Dear Iron Man 3 Execs, Please Put Pepper Potts In An Iron Man Suit

    Almost Totally Excellent

This year's San Diego Comic-Con was pretty exciting for Marvel fans -- not only were five films announced, Robert Downey, Jr. made a surprise appearance, and we got to see the Tony Stark's new suits for the upcoming Iron Man 3. What more could a Marvel fan possibly want? Well, after Iron Man and Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau mentioned that the idea of suiting Pepper Potts up in her very own powered armor ensemble, the answer is that. We want that, Iron Man 3 executives.

  16. Extreme Life-Hacker: Man Builds His Own JARVIS

Edwin Jarvis is a nearly fifty year old Marvel Comics character, first created as Tony Stark's butler who eventually became caretaker to the Avengers Mansion, making him the "Alfred" (just so DC reader's have something to latch on to) of the Marvel Universe's biggest, most changeable superhero team.  Jarvis also appeared in the Iron Man movie, as the AI that ran Tony Stark's house and gave him advice on the more mundane operations of the Iron Man suit. But you don't have to be a billionaire (or a Federation Captain) to talk to your apartment and have it obey you. Chad Barraford is doing it right now.

  17. Iron Man 2 Full Skydiving Clip

Not satisfied by the three seconds of Tony Stark skydiving in the Iron Man 2 trailer? Unenchanted by Pepper Pots' feistyness? Would you like a whole bunch of gratuitous Ironette dancing? Comic Book Resources has you covered. For the spoiler wary, this clip is just an extended version of what we saw in the trailer, but leaving in the bits of the movie just having fun with Iron Man flight and, well... boobs. The only dialogue in it also appears in the trailer.

  18. New Iron Man 2 Trailer Debuts on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Jimmy Kimmel Live rode the Oscars' wave tonight and gave patient, insomniac geeks some well-deserved eye candy in the form of a brand new trailer for Iron Man 2. After sharing the suitably maverick story of how he corralled Mickey Rourke into playing the role of Whiplash in the movie, real-life Tony Stark Robert Downey Jr. debuted the trailer, which had some familiar footage from past Iron Man 2 sneak peeks, but rewards the faithful with suitcase armor, evil Sam Rockwell, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Trailer after the jump:

  19. New Iron Man 2 Footage: Whiplash Aftermath

MSN has debuted a behind the scenes feature of sorts on the Monaco race scene that we've seen featured in the Iron Man 2 trailer. The majority of it is typical actors in folding-chairs saying that the movie's going to be awesome, and some pre-special effects shots of cars blowing up and getting shoved around. Scarlett Johansson rather endearingly uses the phrase "off the hook." We'll take Mickey Rourke's word for it though. I mean. He's Mickey Rourke. However, at the one minute mark, a clip is shown of never previously released footage, showing the aftermath of Whiplash's attack. The new clip, and a spoiler free discussion of whether this clip has spoilers, after the jump:
