  1. 25 Great, Geektastic School Supplies For All Your Back to School Needs

Apologies for uttering the dreaded "s" word.

I may do an impromptu glance of complete and utter glee every time I remember I never have to go to school another day in my life, but there's one thing I do miss, and that's school supplies. I mean, yeah, "office supplies" are awesome, and they're basically the same thing, but that just sounds so... adult. Eurrrrrgh. For those of you heading back to school soon—I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.—here are some items you can use to give your months of fun, fun, fun a geeky twist.

When this post hits 88 mph, you're going to see some serious shit.

This morning we got a lovely email from ThinkGeek telling us that the Flux Capacitor they previously posted as an April Fools Day joke is now a reality. They also showed off a Mega Man Buster Gun replica and some other goodies. Take a look.

  4. Dog in Star Trek Captain’s Chair Bed Blows up Death Star, Dogs Don’t Understand Star Trek

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no substitute for a good phaser at your side?

You can't teach an old dog new franchises. There's nothing more adorable than a dog in a Star Trek captain's chair bed—that is, until that dog mixes up two of the most iconic sci-fi franchises in history, and you suddenly feel like a failure as a pet owner.

  5. Things We Saw Today: Lots of April Fools’ Day Gags

As they have become famous for, ThinkGeek.com rolled out a bunch of "new" products today. Unfortunately they're all April Fools' Day jokes. The one we're most upset over? The Klingon Rosetta Stone. Because seriously, I've always wanted to learn Klingon. But also, the Unicorn Drinking Horn (pictured above) should go into production immediately. Only larger. Much larger.

    this exists

Who could say no to a little R2-D2 riding shotgun, extending helpful cables that recharge your devices and emitting the occasional soft "beepboop." I know I couldn't, so it's a good thing I don't own a car. You should not be surprised that this is a ThinkGeek product.

  9. HerUniverse Boldly Goes Where No T-Shirt Has Gone Before

    Make It So

HerUniverse recently held a design contest in conjunction with ThinkGeek for an exclusive Star Trek t-shirt. The winner? This "EntHERprise design. "I almost didn't enter this one, assuming everyone else in the competition would also instantly notice that the classic female symbol sure looks like the top view of the original Enterprise, with nacelles added on, of course," said winner Jeremy Sniatecki. "I ran the concept by my wife, who is a major sci-fi fan and a trusted sounding board for all things creative, and she LOVED the simplicity of it! 'I would TOTALLY buy and wear that!' she said, and so I entered it! She's very choosy about her own nerdy t-shirt purchases, so that was high praise indeed." The fact that no one has done this before blows my mind. I will be needing one immediately. Get yours at ThinkGeek.
