It took me a second to get the pun. By the always-amazing James Hance, via /Film.

Too Lazy To Turn A Page? Read Classic Novels On A Poster Instead!

Spineless Classics (awesome name, btw) sells posters with entire novels printed on them. But can you actually read them if so inclined? “Hard as it may be to believe, each one of our designs contains the full text of the book. Where there are shapes in the design, the words wrap to the edges rather than being removed or shaded,” they write. “The apparent font size is roughly 4 point which is perfectly legible with the naked eye if you have 20/20 vision, or with light magnification if you don’t.” Check out what books like Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Dracula, and more look like when laid out flat.

Nightlights for All Ages: Beautiful Famous Female Character Lightboxes

Look, just because you stopped being afraid of the dark a long time ago doesn’t mean your room isn’t full of comic boxes to stub your toes on. Gorgeous Illustrated Posters of The Iron Giant, The Wizard of Oz, Classic Horror Films, and More

I may or may not have squealed when I saw illustrator Laurent Durieux‘s The Iron Giant poster. And then I got a little emotional. Because that’s what I do when I’m confronted with anything The Iron Giant-related, OK? But once I got myself under control I was able to look at and fully appreciate some of Durieux’s other posters, and let me tell you—they are amazing. I’m not as well-versed in classic horror movies as I would like to be, but this art made me want to go and watch everything. (And rewatch The Bride of Frankenstein, because it’s excellent and deserves it.)

Book Sculptures: Making Harry Potter Out of Harry Potter

Jodi Harvey-Brown’s book sculptures might be a little cutting a little too close for any librarians out there. And here was where I was ready to make a lot of other “glued” and “stitched” references here about readers of different sensitivity to book destruction, but frankly all the jokes I was coming up with were dumb so lets just say: if you’re bothered by the treatment of books as materials in art (which is quite understandable), you probably want to give this post a pass. But if you want to see a Millennium Falcon made out of Heir to the Empire, journey on.
