Batman’s Rogues Gallery Poses For 1940s-Style Mugshots

These digital mugshots of Batman villains were brought to dapper, terrifying life by artist Jason Mark. He’s only done the Joker, Mr. Freeze, the Penguin and Two-Face so far, and I hazard I’m not alone when I say I’d be thrilled if he did some more.

DC Hints At The Return of the Joker’s Daughter, So Let’s Talk About Duela Dent

DC Comics teased a single picture this week, under the title “What’s New in The New 52 – Joker’s Daughter?!” (I’ve put the full picture below the jump.) And while a lot of you are probably thinking “ugh, what a trite idea for a female character,” I was thinking “Oh, neat, are they really going to bring back Duela Dent?

Now at this point some of you are probably going “Dent? Like… Harvey Dent? And Duela is “two”… but she’s the Joker‘s daughter?”

Yes. Come, lets talk about weird shit in comics, and a strange female character who maybe is getting a comeback, who knows?

High Art Meets Pop Culture With Geeky Versions of René Magritte’s The Son of Man

We previously ran ben6835′s mashup of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and René Magritte‘s surrealist self-portrait “The Son of Man,” which originally featured the artist’s face covered by an apple. Except when it’s TMNT Leonardo’s face is covered by a slice of pizza, because when did the Turtles ever eat healthy? Well it turns out that ben6835 has done a whole series of these, featuring Alien‘s Xenomorph, Indiana Jones, Hellboy, and more. Check ‘em out after the jump.

We Know Halloween Is Over, But These Are Too Good Not to Share

Hurricane Sandy may have mucked up Halloween here in New York City (the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade was cancelled for the first time in its history. *single tear*), but that doesn’t mean people here and elsewhere didn’t still have fun. Here are some of our favorite costumes (and pumpkins!) from around the ‘net.

If The Joker Were A Child, This Is What He’d Be Saying [Meme]

A while ago, someone posted an image of their 2-year-old’s Joker Halloween costume. For some reason, Reddit just picked it up and made a meme out of it. It’s interesting to see what a baby Joker would concern himself over. Take a look.

Consider the Following

Was The Joker Mentioned In The Dark Knight Rises?

We may never know for sure if director Christopher Nolan would have utilized the Joker in The Dark Knight Rises had actor Heath Ledger not passed away but we can certainly wonder what it would have been like. Did you notice any reference to the Clown Prince of Crime in TDKR? There’s an interesting tidbit you might have missed.

Things We Saw Today: There’s Going to Be A Sequel to Finding Nemo

Monster’s Inc prequel, the possibility of a Hocus Pocus sequel; we’ve already been struck by how hard the film industry has been working recently to hit twenty-s0methings in the nostalgia spot. Now we’re even more convinced. Why? Because they’re making a sequel to the 2003 Pixar sea-romp Finding Nemo. Director Andrew Stanton has already signed on.

But considering Nemo was *SPOILER ALERT* found at the end of the first film, we’re wondering how they’re gonna play this one. Is he gonna “find” himself emotionally as a teenager fish? Finding Emo? (via MTV)
