The Hunger Games: Mockingjay

  1. Mockingjay Adds Peeta & Johanna “Living Portraits” to Its Line of Propaganda-Inspired Marketing

    It's Snow joke.

Between its "President Snow's Panem Address" teasers and its "District Heroes" poster series, the Mockingjay - Part 1 marketing department is really kicking ass so far. The tradition continues with these "Capitol Citizen Living Portraits" of Peeta and Johanna, behind the cut because of autoplay music. Cosplayers everywhere are clutching their heads and shrieking, wondering why something like this doesn't exit for their favorite characters.

  2. Mockingjay: Part 1 Trailer to Debut on 8.4 Inch Screen at SDCC as Part of Bizarre Partnership With Samsung

    Unity. Prosperity. SDCC.

The Hunger Games won't have a panel at SDCC this year, but fans in attendance can still get a peek at Mockingjay: Part 1. The trailer will be introduced in San Diego by as-yet-unnamed cast members, but it won't be screened in Hall H. Instead, the new look at one of this year's most anticipated releases will be revealed on the 8.4 inch screen of a Galaxy Tab S as part of a collaboration between Samsung and Lionsgate. President Snow would probably be proud.

  3. The Second Mockingjay – Part 1 Teaser Is Here, And It Has a Surprise For You

    Plot twist!

The first Mockingjay - Part 1 teaser featured Peeta standing dutifully beside a speechifying President Snow. This time it's Peeta, Johanna, and some Peacekeeper backup not-dancers providing support as Evil Dystopian Dictator delivers an address to the nation. But wait.. what's that...?

  4. If Katniss Went To Hogwarts: Jennifer Lawrence Face Blocks Emma Watson At The Dior Fashion Show

    Wingardium Levios-A THIS!

Ok, we don't really think Katniss Everdeen and Hermione Granger would fight if they lived in the same universe (unless that universe had Panem in it, of course), they're both smart, fiercely loyal characters. So what the heck possessed Jennifer Lawrence to grab Emma Watson's face while taking lovely photos together at a Dior show?

  5. The First Trailer for Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Is Here!

I find their lack of Jennifer Lawrence disturbing.

It's the first trailer for Mockingjay Part 1! And it... has no sign of Katniss. Maybe that was to make us extra angry at the propaganda message it's going for? It's got a similar style to the previously released propaganda-style character posters. Maybe we'll get a Katniss retaliation trailer soon if the odds are in our favor.

  9. Tigris Cast For The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2!

May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor

We were holding out hope Rebel Wilson would get the role but we're just happy Tigris wasn't cut from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. Actress Eugenie Bondurant will take on the role of the Capitol resident who takes fashion to a new level by surgically altering herself to look like a tiger, complete with implanted whiskers. No word at this time how close the film will stay to that look. Just the other day we had word of Battlestar Galactica's Michelle Forbes being cast in the film as well and boy are we looking forward to parts 1 and 2. Are you following The Mary Sue on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, & Google +?
