To be fair, it seems MTV has already decided Catwoman is a hero, they’re just looking for confirmation from you. But she does have competition. You can vote for who will go home with the Best Hero Award at the MTV Movie Awards here. We’d love to see Selina win because we know she’s a good egg but looks like either Bilbo or Snow White already have it in the bag.

Jake Wyatt is an awesome illustrator. And a busy illustrator. Because he’s taken it upon himself to draw a different Marvel character every day throughout the month of March. A few of our favorites are behind the cut, though if you want to see the best one (in my opinion, anyway), you’ll have to click here. Long ‘n’ skinny pictures don’t work well with our slideshow format, but the illustration in question is Iron Man and the Hulk being Science Bros, with a side of Lady Gaga, and I assure you it’s worth the extra click.

We basically already knew Marvel Entertainment didn’t have anything planned for The Hulk in the next few years anyway but Mark Ruffalo took to Twitter to let the “normal people” know what’s up. “A lot of folks have been asking about the Next Hulk. The next time you see my Hulk it will be in the Avengers2. No plans for stand alone,” he said, also tweeting, “I am not giving up on another stand alone HULK. But it’s not in the works right now. One never knows what the future will bring.” Joss Whedon also recently shot down the Planet Hulk rumors. Not sure where all the Hulk love is coming from at the moment but with Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World , Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy (and most likely Ant-Man and Doctor Strange as well) on their slate currently, there’s really no room for the green guy. Though we do hope to see Ruffalo pop up in at least one of those…

So, this is a thing. Ron English has created an 8 inch vinyl figure called “Temper Tot.” It’s inspired by a work of art he created for a show and is now available for pre-order.

Plenty of people are excited (and worried) about Warner Bros. finally putting together a Justice League movie and that’s all well and good but what I’d like to know is, will we see any of the magic characters in the film? I couldn’t care less about that right now though, Guillermo del Toro is planning on making his own DC Comics film with ALL OF THE MAGIC CHARACTERS. I think I just died and went to The House of Mystery.

Artist Mike Mitchell, who goes by Sir Mitchell, took it upon himself to play around with Kal-El’s iconic image from the cover of Superman #6 from 1940. Thanks to his “fun little side-project” we get to see what the Man of Steel would look like as pop-culture characters like Harry Potter, The Tin Man, Charlie Brown, and more (plus one bonus astronomer). We think they’re pretty great. Take a look for yourself.

Can’t stop thinking about a Black Widow movie? We can’t either. While it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting one soon, let’s take a moment and relish this movie poster by Duke Dasterdly, and dream of what could be. Oh, yeah, and there are some other alternative movie posters to check out. And while we certainly would have appreciated a poster with more Scarlett Johansson and less singular body part of Scarlett Johansson, we have to say, this is pretty gorgeous.

Okay, so technically Wonder Woman is Diana, a Roman goddess, but they’re equivalent deities so just roll with it. I’m pretty sure artist Tim Maclean is trying to explore the relationship between religion, idolatry, and the modern superhero with these awesome portraits of superheroes painted as Classical gods, but I’m mostly just nerding out over how cool they look. Hit the jump to check out more of these quirky, allegorical mashups!

Sometimes you just need to look at some eye-candy. And this time that eye-candy doesn’t even involve any actual people! Instead, we invite you to feast your eyes on the artwork for Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One—Avengers Assembled. Yes, it’s a mouthful, but the eye-full is much easier to…swallow? Take in? In any case, Marvel Cinematic Universe is a deluxe six-movie set of all the Avengers tie-in films, and the sleeves for the individual films are quite artfully minimalistic. Just take my money, Marvel! Take it!
