And Now For Something Completely Different

Bullock and McCarthy Hilarious Bloopers From The Heat

You’ve heard about Sandra Bullock‘s breathtaking performance as an astronaut fighting for her life in this year’s Gravity. Now watch her put a peanut up her nose and pretend to kick Melissa McCarthy in the face in these clips, put together in honor of the movie’s home video release today. It’s basically the same thing. Video autoplays after the jump:

Things We Saw Today: Jedi Michonne Gets a Weapons Upgrade To Fight Zombie Stormtroopers

This poster by PJ McQuade of Michonne, Jedi bounty hunter, is on sale at McQuade’s Etsy shop, so that you can contemplate Michonne in all her intimidating, double-lightsaber wielding power and wish there were really a comic book to explain to you how the stormtrooper-zombie outbreak began.

Melissa McCarthy Outperforms Comedy’s Leading Men. Remind Me Again Why ‘Women Aren’t Funny’?

We all know that Melissa McCarthy is on a roll– between Bridesmaids, Identity Theft, and now the $40 million dollar opening of her buddy-cop movie The Heat, this lady is on fire.

What you may not know is this: McCarthy is also outperforming her male comedian colleagues and co-stars by millions.

Highly Successful Marketing Strategies

The Heat Gets an Explosive Mondo Poster

Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock‘s The Heat has had many posters, some better than others, that have tried to show us how badass the two will be when the movie hits theaters June 28th.  Mondo got the design just right, though, with their 80′s style poster for the buddy cop film, which gives us a flying cat, a good amount of fire, and Bullock and McCarthy at their coolest, rising out of the flames. These posters will be given out at 10 pm showtimes on the 27th at Alamo Drafthouse Thearters around the U.S.

Bridesmaids Director Paul Feig Is Creating A Female James Bond

The good news is, we might see a female James Bond-type character soon. The bad news is, it’s going to be a comedy and probably won’t spawn twenty or so films.

New Poster For The Heat Skinnifies Melissa McCarthy’s Face, Like That’s Not Totally Messed Up Or Anything

You know what Melissa McCarthy looks like. If you don’t (and that would mean you’ve never seen her in anything, in which case I feel sorry for you), here’s a pic from her new buddy cop comedy The Heat, which I’ve been looking forward to for a while (and still am, because this screw-up is on marketing).

OK. So now look at McCarthy in the poster up above. Notice anything different?

Things We Saw Today: Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton as Vampire Lovers

Here’s the first pic from Jim Jarmusch‘s Only Lovers Left Alive, starring Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton as, you guessed it, vampire lovers. Named Adam and Eve, incidentally. No release date for this one yet, sorry folks. (/Film)
