Baz Luhrmann Might Direct A Big Screen Adaptation of Kung Fu, Grasshopper

Do you like Kung Fu? Do you like Baz Luhrmann? This is going to be really…interesting.

The Great Catsby Gives Us Classic Literature, Disney, Cats [VIDEO]

I wasn’t too thrilled by Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby, but this Great Gastby/Aristocats trailer mashup is a thing of beauty, old sport. And it’s called, of course, The Great Catsby. Sigh. Wordplay.

Oh Hollywood

Leonardo DiCaprio Brags, Parties, and Angsts (In That Order) in the New The Great Gatsby Trailer

The latest trailer for Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby makes it look like a technicolor booze-fueled crime thriller. Which… well, I’m kind of OK with that. It’s a Baz Luhrmann movie. No one expects to see a 100% faithful adaptation. I’m still not sold on Leonardo DiCaprio as Gatsby, and though I realize it’s completely unfair my instinctual reaction to Tobey Maguire starring in a movie is to wince. It takes a long time to wash away the mental trauma of Spider-Man 3, OK?

If I’m being honest, I’ll probably see it. Because Joel Edgerton. Not that I need to justify myself to anyone!

For more ’20s glitz and glamor, check out recently released character posters for Tom (Edgerton), Myrtle (Isla Fisher), Nick (Maguire), and Jordan (Elizabeth Debicki).

Things We Saw Today: There’s Going to Be A Sequel to Finding Nemo

Monster’s Inc prequel, the possibility of a Hocus Pocus sequel; we’ve already been struck by how hard the film industry has been working recently to hit twenty-s0methings in the nostalgia spot. Now we’re even more convinced. Why? Because they’re making a sequel to the 2003 Pixar sea-romp Finding Nemo. Director Andrew Stanton has already signed on.

But considering Nemo was *SPOILER ALERT* found at the end of the first film, we’re wondering how they’re gonna play this one. Is he gonna “find” himself emotionally as a teenager fish? Finding Emo? (via MTV)
