Skyfall

  1. Honest Trailer for Skyfall Makes a Ton of Good Points

I'm willing to admit that there's definitely some strange stuff going on in the latest James Bond film, Skyfall. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that there are a goodly number of oddities. The movie was still grand to watch, if only because Judi Dench is phenomenal. Still, Screen Junkies' latest Honest Trailer for the film is definitely firing on all cylinders and makes a bunch of fair points about Skyfall's overwhelming reliance on convenient plot developments.

  2. Liked Skyfall? The British Government is was Recruiting 00 Agents Online!

Who hasn't wanted to be a secret agent at least once in their life. Look at James Bond: He always gets the toys, he always gets the girl, and he gets to wear an awesome-looking tuxedo more than anybody. (Also, he saves the world. That's pretty cool too.) The point is, if you could say... apply for that job online, you'd do it, right? Well guess what? You missed your shot. The British government actually posted a job listing for a new 00 agent on their recruitment website yesterday. After only a day or two, the listing has already been taken down; Possibly because of the overwhelming number applicants, or because it was a big joke.

  4. The Hobbit Reaches #1 in Online Ticket Sales, Has Probably Already Made More Money Than You Do in a Year

Not all that glitters is gold

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is already doing pretty well for itself at the box office. Last Wednesday, the first day tickets went on sale, the film grabbed a third of all Fandango ticket sales, handily beating Skyfall (out today) and previous number one Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (out next week). You can make the point that there's not too much competition on a Wednesday, and also that of course The Hobbit will grab the #1 spot on the first day tickets for it are on sale. You'd be right. But it's still in the #3 spot today, despite the fact that it's not coming out for over a month. And anyway, you're missing the point. The Hobbit is a force to be reckoned with. Respect The Hobbit! 6. First Teaser Trailer for the new James Bond Film Skyfall Looks Pretty Rad

Though its future was uncertain for a while, the 23rd film starring Britain's top secret agent James Bond is not only in the can, but already has a teaser trailer. The film, called Skyfall, still has Daniel Craig in the lead role and director Sam Mendes at the helm, but looks to be taking a bit of a different track from the last two films.

  7. Ben Whishaw Is the New Q In the Next James Bond Movie

And Now For Something Completely Different

The next Bond film, Skyfall, will feature a new gadget man helping the iconic spy. Ben Whishaw, who currently appears in the BBC's The Hour, will be taking over the role of Q in the new movie, making him the youngest actor to do so and the first time Q has been younger than Bond himself. This will probably not, however, cramp Bond's style. (Because he is James Bond.)
