Things We Saw Today: Maleficent Kiddie Couture

Angelina Jolie and Stella McCartney have a created Maleficent-inspired fashion line. Women’s Wear Daily writes, “The collection of eight styles includes princess dresses and sandals, as well as edgy T-shirts and sneakers, for boys and girls ages four to 14.” Ok, but what size does it go up to because I have a mighty need. Want To Attend Every Day Of SDCC This Year? Get Ready To Work For It.

Watch the Avengers: Age of Ultron Comic-Con Title Teaser Before It Gets Yanked [UPDATE: High-Res Version]

A good two months after San Diego Comic-Con, someone has finally put Marvel’s Age of Ultron title teaser up online. It’s pretty cool, if low-quality, which is to be expected in a bootleg. SuperHeroHype speculates that Marvel might not yank it because it doesn’t contain any actual footage from the film, but if you want to watch it I’d do it soon just in case.

[Update: It did get yanked, but another version—a high-res one at that!—popped up. Yay!]

Interviewer Swaps Usual Convention Questions To Find The Real Fake Geeks [VIDEO]

Jennifer Landa decided to do some investigative journalism at San Diego Comic-Con to sort out this whole “fake geek” issue. And she enlisted help from our good friends Andre Meadows and Dr. Andrea Letamendi!

I never recommend reading the comments but I find it hilarious several folks on YouTube missed the satire part of this whole thing. For instance: “Yeah, I hate to break it to you, but most of the female cosplayers aren’t any nerdier or geekier than the males you accuse of fake nerdom. I find your video incredibly derisive and insulting.” Ah, life.

Holy Rusted Metal Batman!

Batman Is Done With Crime Fighting, Prefers To Sit Back With A Good Book

Photographer David Ngo snapped this photo of a very relaxed Batman during San Diego Comic-Con. He could be taking it slow, waiting in line for the Game of Thrones panel, and enjoying his retirement. On the other hand, the Bat could be subtly advertising for the new web series The Dark Knight Retires, which launches tomorrow. Either way, it’s nice to see Bruce Wayne kicking back and letting others take on the vigilante justice for a while.

Finding Comic-Con International’s Harassment Policy

Harassment in the geek sphere has been a hot topic as of late. Whether it comes anonymously over the internet or in person, harassment is something many are finally looking to put a stop to, or at the very least, create consequences for, in our community. So when we personally witnessed something we felt fell squarely in this category and looked into how we could put an end to it, why did we find a roadblock?
