French illustrator Sylvain Sarrailh may make you think you’re remembering childhood wrong with his series of “BADASS” character designs. Some may make you laugh, others may make you cry, but part of me is curled up in the corner rocking back and forth saying, “Can’t sleep, clown will eat me.”READ MORE

Coran “Kizer” Stone has a vivid imagination that includes viewing the Scoobie Doo gang as Ghostbusters, a Tintin/Dick Tracey team up, and as you can see here, a military-esque Princess Peach. I’m loving these alternate histories. Check out all that, plus a redesigned Wonder Woman, Carrie Kelley, and a whole lot more…READ MORE

Good news, everyone!* Princess Peach is playable in the new Super Mario, Super Mario 3D World, coming out for the Wii U.
Aside from the introduction of the new cat-suit powerup, this game is also exciting because it is the first time Peach has been a playable character in a main-series Mario game (ie, the platformer staples that have been the core of the Mario series since the series began) since 1988 in Super Mario Bros. 2. This is Gary Bedell‘s “He Just Might Be in Another Castle,” and it is glorious. Stop getting kidnapped, Mario, the Princess has better things to do than rescue you all the time, God.
Available as a shirt here, if you’re so inclined.

It’s good to see Peach taking an involved role in the politics of the Mushroom Kingdom, but it’s clear that we can’t all solve Chinese diplomatic crises and demand that Jason Seigel put you in a Muppet movie at the same time. But no worries, this is a Mario game: she can always try again with another life.

Surely Lana Del Rey should have seen this coming: parodies of her song “Video Games” that involve people singing about video games. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! And Jenny Bede has imagined this super sullen tale about how Princess Peach married the wrong Mario Brother (both of whom are played by Brendan Murphy) and is so sad that she just plays video games to get through life. That Peach is soooo meta.
