The Great Gastly, and Other Unexpectedly Literary Pokémon

Adapt this, Baz Luhrmann. Actually, adapt Bulgakov’s The Masquerain and Margarita.

No, seriously, I think you’d do a much better job at The Master and Margarita than The Great Gatsby. But I guess if you’re not doing anything else you could look at these works of classic literature with Pokémon in the title.

Which Pokémon Could Replace The Game Of Thrones House Sigil Animals?

Artist Cami Sanders (KaiKoa on DeviantArt) decided to take a few House Sigils from Game of Thrones and replace the current creatures (direwolf, dragons, etc.) with Pokémon. It’s subtle, mind you, and these could easily pass as just an alternate design of the sigils but look closer and you’ll see you must catch them all…

Eevee Hoodie Lets Everybody Know You’re Happy Just the Way You Are

This weekend at PAX East I got to hear Sam Hart sing a sad song about Ash deciding whether or not to forcibly evolve Pikachu into Raichu, and I figure that’s a dilemma that many Eevee owners have also faced. Lesley A. Jensen makes a new set of Easter Eggs every year, based on the characters of a different geeky show, movie, or video game. What If Poké Balls Were Actually Nesting Dolls For Adorable Pokémon?

I’ve always been a fan of nesting dolls, aka matryoshka. And it’s always fun when something not normally geeky gets turned geeky. We’ve posted some actual nerdy nesting dolls before but artist Michael Myers has done a few illustrations that look at the concept a different way. He turned Poké Balls into nesting dolls with perfect little monsters at the gooey center. Ok, I admit, I’ve taken this to a weird place. I digress. Meyers calls his Pokémon nesting dolls, Poketryoshka. Enjoy.
