To get you into the awards show spirit, here’s alcohol a montage of every single film to walk away with Best Picture, edited by Nelson Carvajal. (Though actually the first Oscars in 1929 had two Best Picture winners, one a general award and one for “Unique and Artistic Production,” which really says a lot about the current identity of the Oscars if you think about it… ah, sorry, my film nerdery ran away with me there). Just think—as of tomorrow there won’t be any speculation as to who the next Best Picture winner will be for a good two, three months.
