Nathan Fillion

Cautiously Optimistic

Nathan Fillion Reveals Why He Hasn’t Played a Marvel Superhero Yet

It seems like we’re not getting any more Firefly, but that doesn’t mean we can’t see Nathan Fillion and Joss Whedon team up again, does it? Nathan Fillion has been involved in multiple superhero projects in his time, from playing Captain Hammer in Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog to voicing DC’s Green Lantern in various Justice League and Green Lantern cartoons. But given the many Big Damn Heroes Fillion has played, it’s surprising he has never portrayed a Marvel Superhero, especially considering his friendship with Whedon.  It turns out, Fillion has thought about the prospect of a Marvel role, and recently answered an inquiry about it in an interview for Pixar’s Monsters University.

Hello Sweetie

Remember When Nathan Fillion Stole Wil Wheaton’s Wife? Here’s John Barrowman Stealing Wil.

Nathan Fillion was on a convention picture roll recently. First he stole Zelda, then he stole Wil Wheaton’s wife Anne in a glorious, meme-worthy moment.  Now John Barrowman has gotten in on the fun for another amazing moment. In Wheaton’s own words:

So John Barrowman is really, really awesome. Anne and I got to spend a bit of time with him in Phoenix at the comic con, and he was simply wonderful.

At one point, Anne showed him the picture of her and me with Nathan Fillion, and told him the story from Ottawa Comic Con.

“We should do that, only I’ll hold you and Anne will look sad,” John said.

I made a noise like a tween meeting Bieber, and then this happened.

And All Was Right With the World

Nathan Fillion Stabs Link, “Steals” Zelda

I say “steals” because looking at Zelda’s smile there appears to be a mutual acceptance of her choosing Nathan Fillion over Link. (I feel you, girl.) But “Nathan Fillion Stabs Link, Gathers a Swooning Zelda In His Manly, Manly Arm Before Spiriting Her Away In a Consensual Fashion to His Nerd Castle” is too long for a headline.

We Have Done the Impossible and That Makes Us Mighty

Monsters University Trailer Contains Like Two Seconds of Nathan Fillion

With Monsters University imminent, Pixar has been rolling out some of the voice acting cameos they’ve peppered throughout the movie’s cast, including Steve Buscemi, John Krasinski, Alfred Molina, Frank Oz, and Captain Tightpants himself, Nathan Fillion. I’m pretty sure he’s the lettermans jacketed monster who tells Mike he should hang out with someone “a little more your speed,” but I could be wrong. Maybe he’s actually the giant football monster.

Nathan Fillion Is Hermes In The New Percy Jackson Movie

Ok, so I didn’t see the first Percy Jackson movie but Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters might have piqued my interest. And not just because Nathan Fillion and Glimmer (Leven Rambin) and Caesar (Stanley Tucci) from The Hunger Games are in it. Ok, mostly that.

Neil Patrick Harris Exchanges Puns with a Very Special Guest Star in This Week’s Neil’s Puppet Dreams.

In the latest episode of Neil Patrick Harris‘ webseries Neil’s Puppet Dreams, the puppet medical community is astounded by a part of Neil’s anatomy that is… not often seen on puppets. It’s not what you think. Well, it kind of is, actually. Oh, and Nathan Fillion guest stars. I could’ve just said that first thing to get you to watch it, right? I mean, I wouldn’t even need to be typing this right now. In fact, you probably stopped reading and pressed “play” as soon as you read “Nathan Fillion” or, for that matter, saw his delightfully chiseled face in the video’s preview still.

I could type anything right now… Asparagus. Detergent. Spanish Civil War.
