Beware: There’s A Walking Dead Version of Monopoly Now

Everything gets the Monopoly treatment eventually. It’s like a zombie outbreak in itself. There’s Beatles Monopoly, Justice League Monopoly, Disney Villains Monopoly – when I was a kid, I even had a Star Wars monopoly PC game. This edition of the classic boardgame is available at ThinkGeek and is described as “everything you know and loved about Monopoly, but with 100% more zombie flavor.” See the board and pieces under the jump.

Things We Saw Today: The Animatronic Dinosaur I Wish I’d Had as a Kid

Made by Scottish toy company H. Grossman Ltd, this “moving, breathing Megasaur” is approximately 20 feet long and has a moving head, eyes, arms, legs, and mouth. Did I say I wanted it as a kid? I mean I want it now. (via Gizmodo)

For sale today on ShirtPunch. I’d totally buy it if it wasn’t obnoxious orange but now I really want DC to put out a DCU version of Monopoly. (via Jen Grünwald)

And Now For Something Completely Different

If Statues And Famous Landmarks Cosplayed Life Would Be A Lot More Fun

Apparently some pranksters CalTech thought it would be a fun idea to cover the Alamo sculpture in Manhattan’s Astor Place with a Portal Companion Cube outfit yesterday. They were 100% right. We’d like to see this kind of thing become a trend and have a few suggestions to offer up to you creative types.

Things We Saw Today: According to the Forecast, Winter Is Coming

As we muddle through what I like to call Drecktember, when it can’t decide between summer or fall, at least we can be assured of one thing: Winter is coming. Not for a while, but it is definitely coming. And you can get this on a t-shirt! (via Fashionably Geek)

Thing That Might Have to Exist

Game of Thrones Monopoly Is Just As Epic As the Original

A huge effort on the part of some very imaginative fans of George R. R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO‘s TV adaptation Game of Thrones has resulted in the most logical “novel-to-board game” mashup that ever mashed: Game of Thrones Monopoly, or — if you will — Throneopoly! The objective is put perfectly by io9:

What if, instead of making uneasy alliances and searching for the truth in a harsh landscape where the very seasons are set against you, you had to move around the board attempting to collect castles and avoid having to go to The Wall?

See? This makes so much sense! Want to see all the other moving parts?
