  1. Fictional Character Crushes: Don’t Pretend You Don’t Have Them

Sara's Top Fandom Crushes. Apparently, I kind of have a "type." Don't judge. ;-)

Different characters can "speak" to different parts of our psyche at different times in our lives and heck, let's be honest - at different times of the same day. I have broken down my fictional crushes into some categories to help organize my thoughts on the matter. Feel free to share your own crushes and opinions in the comments!

  3. McAvoy and Fassebender Do Their Best Stewart and McKellen Impressions, Try to Pick Up the Geek BFF Mantle [VIDEO]

    Snikt

Silly James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Everyone knows that when our benevolent alien overlords come down from the sky and take Sirs Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen away to have neverending space adventures together (because those two will never die), Robert Downey Jr and Mark Ruffalo are next in line for the celebrity soulmate BFFs title. Nice try, though. (via: Pajiba) Are you following The Mary Sue on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, & Google +?

  4. Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart Make McAvoy and Fassbender Do Impressions of Them for Friendship

    Engage, you fools!

It's tough enough to play the younger version of a hugely famous actor in an equally famous role, but that wasn't enough for the world's best besties, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. They sat down with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender and made them do their impressions in person, and it got as adorable as we've come to expect.

  5. X-Men: Days of Future Past – I’m Not Sure I Want Your Future

    Review

The follow-up to Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class had a lot weighing on its shoulders. Not just as a Hollywood blockbuster, but with fans of the Chris Claremont storyline from The Uncanny X-Men comics and subsequent animated television series adaptation. It also had to live up to the "new" mutant universe created for the 60s-era film while paving the way for continuing success with subsequent films in the Fox franchise. While Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past may have great success at the box office (like most superhero films these days), fans may have a few things to say to the director when all is said and done.

  6. X-Men Stars Michael Fassbender & James McAvoy View Fan Art Gallery While Hugh Jackman Reads Slash [VIDEO]

    Romance

Actors finding out about the stuff fans do on the internet in their spare time is one of my favorite things. The latest example: Days of Future Past stars Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy appearing on The Graham Norton Show, along with Hugh Jackman, and getting a crash course is slash. Previously in X-Men

  11. First Posters For X-Men: Days Of Future Past Feature Xavier and Magneto Young And Old

    Excelsior!

The first posters just came out for Days of Future Past, and they are staying true to the general "time travel/different eras" theme. The way that they managed to match up Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan's faces is pretty rad, and the same goes for the image of both Xaviers (Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy). Marvel really does know how to cast their actors! Go under the cut for the second poster.

  12. Beast And Magneto Play In The Kiddie Pool On Set of X-Men: Days of Future Past

What the Heck is Happening In This Set Photo?

Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender were recently spotted on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past acting like little children. Ok, technically they were filming what appears to be a fight scene but in between takes they splashed around like kids on a hot summer's day. A few more shots after the jump.

  13. Days of Future Past‘s Magneto Gets His Saturday Night Fever On

    i'll just leave this here

Previous set photos from X-Men: Days of Future Past have been decidedly groovy, sartorially speaking. Compared to those, this new picture of Michael Fassbender's Magneto believing he can touch the sky (daily Space Jam reference: Made) is relatively normal. The shirt, coat, and hair might be a little dated, but there's nothing too odd. And then you see them. High-waisted bell bottoms. 14. Xavier, Magneto, Whomever Peter Dinklage Is Playing Look Groovy, Grumpy on Days of Future Past Set

    Mutatis Mutandis

How did that picture of Will Ferrell form Anchorman get there? No matter. I want this Peter Dinklage pic, taken on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past, to get meme'd up. Ticked Off Tyrion, perhaps? Pissed Off Peter? That's one angry 'stache. One more pic, this one of Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) in stylin' '70s duds, is behind the cut. Plus a Ticked Off Tyrion. I was not kidding about that, guys.

  16. James McAvoy Says No Shared Scenes With Patrick Stewart… What Kind of Time Travel Movie Is Days of Future Past?

    Mutatis Mutandis

Alright, I'm just as well versed as the next person in the tropes of time travel fiction. I know the perils of running into your past self in a setting where changing the timeline can have disastrous consequences, compared to settings where changes in the past simply split off parallel universes or where changing the past is impossible because if you change it then you'll never have needed to come back to change it and then you won't have changed it so you'll have to come back to change it but then you'll never have come back to change it so then it won't have changed so you'll go back to change it but then it won't have changed so... James McAvoy says he has no shared scenes with Sir Patrick Stewart.

Over the summer we heard Prometheus star Michael Fassbender had landed the lead role in Ubisoft's film adaptation of their video game, Assassin's Creed. Not only that, he was co-directing it as well. Then...nothing. Thankfully we can all breathe a big sigh of relief. The project is a go thanks to new financing.

  20. We Officially Know the Title of the X-Men: First Class Sequel

    Imagine What You'll Know Tomorrow

Oh, the business of anticipating movies. It can be painful sometimes, like when the team takes a painstakingly long time to get their stuff together and actually agree to it. Luckily for us, when it comes to the X-Men: First Class sequel--that is, a sequel to a prequel--it actually seems to be moving at a reasonable pace. Set to open in the summer of 2014, the title of the upcoming film has now been revealed.
