I’ve just started watching Battlestar Galactica, and I can feel the fever of obsession approaching. These awesome “Ladies of BSG” posters by Megan Lara, for sale at ThinkGeek, aren’t helping.

The art history geek I forgot was hidden in my brain kind of really loves this. Last year it was artist Megan Lara‘s Art Nouveau illustrations of Firefly characters; this time it’s her take on the complex female characters of Battlestar Galactica through the lens of notable artists. And she even cut all the corners off!
The homages are actually a line of licensed posters. The image at left is Six in the style of Roy Lichtenstein. Click through to see the rest.

Created by designer Megan Lara, these posters are part of the Firefly Les Femmes poster set and are available at Quantum Mechanix Online. Except for the one above, which is set to be exclusively sold at San Diego Comic Con. They all look like burning hot beautiful propaganda, and it’s pretty awesome.
