Didn’t Watch Last Night’s Agents of SHIELD? Don’t Worry, You Can Still Catch the New Guardians of the Galaxy Teaser [VIDEO]

In addition to showing us some of the stars of Guardians of the Galaxy, plus Kevin Feige, talking about their upcoming superhero flick, this teaser from last night’s Agents of SHIELD gave us what has to be among the top five screencaps of Vin Diesel ever to exist:

Elizabeth Olsen Talks Filming Age of Ultron, Playing “Grounded Badass” Scarlet Witch

You know and I know that if actors in the MCU reveal anything in press interviews that could be considered even vaguely spoilery, Kevin Feige sends his bayonet-armed howler monkeys after them to make sure they never talk again. So Elizabeth Olsen, playing Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, doesn’t reveal story details or anything specific in her interview with Flaunt Magazine. But there’s still some interesting stuff in there about filming a Marvel movie and how being Scarlet Witch has affected her on a personal level.

We Asked, You Answered: The Mary Sue Readers Sound Off The Summer Movies of 2014

It seems like it was winter just yesterday, but already summer movie season is starting in the US with today’s release of a little movie called Captain America: The Winter Soldier. A ton of movies are coming out over the next few months, some that we’re looking forward to here at The Mary Sue (Guardians of the Galaxy), some that we’re… not (Transformers: Age of Extinction). But we got curious: Which ones are you most looking forward to? So we asked. What follows is a roundup of the 2014 summer movie season, ranked from the flick you’re are least anticipating to the one you’re most chomping at the bit for. We’ve included our thoughts as well, plus a general sample of the responses we got to each film. (Are you in there? Step up and claim your wit!)

Does the breakdown surprise you, or is it just about what you thought it would be?  Do you differ from the majority? Sound off in the comments.

Things We Saw Today: Arrow‘s Harley Quinn, Makeup, Pigtails, And All

Harley Quinn’s Arrow cameo consisted only of her voice (Tara Strong) and the back of her head (actress Cassidy Alexa), but as we can see from this pic Michael Rowe (aka Deadshot) posted to Instagram, the hair and makeup team did not skimp on Harley-ing her up. Feel free to lose your minds in the comments. (Blastr)

Chris Evans to Quit Acting Post-Marvel, Scarlett Johansson Still Wants a Solo Black Widow Movie

Sorry, Chris Evans fans, but after the actor finally hangs up his shield, whenever that is, he has no intention of returning to the movies… in front of the camera, anyway. I’m gonna go re-watch Sunshine and be sad.

Rumor: Marvel Is Choosing Between These Four Directors for the Doctor Strange Movie

Looks like we might be seeing Doctor Strange and his snazzy cape hit the big screen sooner rather than later, at least if this rumor that Marvel is already in the process of choosing a director and screenwriters is true. But which directors are in the running, and which (in some cases) excellent films have they previously done? And when are Black Widow and/or Captain Marvel and/or Black Panther finally getting their movies? No news on that behind the jump. I just wanted to mention how Marvel’s chug-chug-chugging along on yet another white superhero movie before any superheroines or POC get their shot.

Marvel Is Doing “Development Work” For a Black Widow Movie. But What Does That Really Mean?

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said a thing. A thing abouta Black Widow movie. Put your skepticism caps on, we’re going for a ride.

Curiouser and curiouser!

Thor 3 Definitely Gets a Writer, The Avengers: Age of Ultron Maybe Gets a New Actress

First, the definite news: Craig Kyle will be teaming up with Thor: The Dark World co-writer Christopher Yost for the third Thor movie, Loki: The Reckoning (probably).

And then a detour into Rumorville: There’s an actress who might be playing a doctor partner of Tony Stark’s, or maybe a villain, or maybe both. Every time someone says “female villain” my ears perk up. Make it so.

i'll just leave this here

FYI, Marvel’s Reportedly Picked Directors for Captain America 3. Still No Wonder Woman Movie.

Marvel usually waits to see how a movie does on opening weekend before making sequel decisions, but according to Variety the early test screenings for Captain America: The Winter Soldier are so good that the studio has already started negotiations to lock down its directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, for Captain America 3. It hasn’t been officially greenlit yet, but with many of the actors under contract for a third movie it probably will be unless Winter Soldier completely tanks.

Meanwhile Warner Bros. still hasn’t gotten around to officially confirming that they’ll make one Wonder Woman movie.
