We’ve got another video from Brotherhood Workshop, the folks who brought us the LEGO Lord of the Rings Cave Troll surprise video. This time it involves tricksy Hobbits and we learn a valuable Halloween lesson from Aragorn.

When we caught a glimpse of the LEGO The Lord Of The Rings game earlier this summer, we understandably collapsed in a fan-panic. Not only are the LEGO games freaking adorable, this one seemed to feature actual dialogue from the film, an interesting turn from the usual gesturing/grunting thing LEGO game characters tend to use to communicate. Hit the jump for the new trailer previewed at Gamescom 2012, in addition to a cute, but maxim-heavy short about the history of the LEGO Group in honor of their 80th birthday.

Amy Mebberson (you may remember her Pocket Princesses) is busy as a bee at Comic-Con right now but still found time to make some posts on her tumblr. Here’s a sketch she did of Brave’s Merida as a Green Lantern! And it was so popular, she made her a Blue Lantern next!

I was impressed after watching the first trailer for Lego Batman2: DC Super Heroes, by just how many characters of the DCU were being included. Now after watching this follow-up, I’m more excited, if that’s even possible but that may be solely based on the interaction between Superman and Batman in this one. Interesting to note here is the minifigs having voices for the first time in-game. We noticed they did in the LEGO: The Lord of the Rings trailer, but this game is getting released first (June 19). Was this a choice made by the creative teams or was there perhaps some push from the higher-ups as a result of the LEGO movie in development from the directors of 21 Jump Street. Audiences will get to see voice actors bringing the minifigs to life in that so maybe this is a way to get us used to it. Who knows? I don’t care either way but I know a lot of people prefer they don’t have an actual voice in the games. But Clancy Brown is back to voice Lex Luthor and Tara Strong is voicing Harley Quinn. So maybe you don’t mind as much now?
