The Dark Knight Rises As A LEGO Minifig Along With Commissioner Gordon & Bane

While you were busy playing LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, LEGO was busy making some additions to their line of minifigs. In this case, they were spending time figuring out how they could translate Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises into adorable plastic people. They’ve succeeded.

Batman & Superman Will Share The Big Screen For The First Time Thanks To The New LEGO Movie

A LEGO film seems long overdue considering the toy properties that have gotten Hollywood’s attention over the last few years but will this one be a hit? I’m gonna go ahead and say yes considering this news. The film, titled Lego: The Piece of Resistance, will bring Batman and Superman together on the big screen for the first time in special cameos. Hit the jump to find out who will be voicing them and whether or not other franchise characters could be joining them!

In My Mind, Superman & Batman Act Just Like They Do In Real Life Like They Do In This Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Trailer

I was impressed after watching the first trailer for Lego Batman2: DC Super Heroes, by just how many characters of the DCU were being included. Now after watching this follow-up, I’m more excited, if that’s even possible but that may be solely based on the interaction between Superman and Batman in this one. Interesting to note here is the minifigs having voices for the first time in-game. We noticed they did in the LEGO: The Lord of the Rings trailer, but this game is getting released first (June 19). Was this a choice made by the creative teams or was there perhaps some push from the higher-ups as a result of the LEGO movie in development from the directors of 21 Jump Street. Audiences will get to see voice actors bringing the minifigs to life in that so maybe this is a way to get us used to it. Who knows? I don’t care either way but I know a lot of people prefer they don’t have an actual voice in the games. But Clancy Brown is back to voice Lex Luthor and Tara Strong is voicing Harley Quinn. So maybe you don’t mind as much now?

There And Back Again

Bagginses & Proudfoots! We Are Proud To Present The LEGO Lord of the Rings Trailer!

We found out late last year the LEGO secured the rights to create toys based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Or really, Peter Jackson’s films of the same name. It wasn’t stated back then but we assumed a video game would follow. And it has. Get a paper bag ready in case you hyperventalate while watching the new LEGO The Lord of the Rings trailer like I did.
