Two Teaser Trailers For Man of Steel Have Landed, With Multiple Capes

Two different trailers for Zack Snyder’s Superman film, Man of Steel, are playing before The Dark Knight Rises and I saw neither (the IMAX showing didn’t have any trailers). But thankfully, as these things do, they’ve arrived online. And yes, these are teaser trailers that actually live up to the name. The first features Kevin Costner’s Jonathan Kent doing a voiceover while the one after the jump has Superman’s biological father Jor-El, played by Russell Crowe, doing the honors (plus a few different clips).

Kurt Russell Probably Replacing Kevin Costner in Tarantino’s Django Unchained

About two weeks ago, Kevin Costner had to drop out of Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming western, Django Unchained. But now, it looks like the filmmaker will be reunited with one of his past stars — Kurt Russell is currently in talks to take over the role vacated by Costner, Ace Woody. It won’t be the first time Russell replaced an actor in a Tarantino movie, either — the part of Stuntman Mike in 2007′s Death Proof was supposed to have been played by Mickey Rourke. Pretty cool to have Kurt Russell as your perennial backup.

New Pics From the Set of Man of Steel, We Still Can’t Believe Lois Is Not a Brunette

While we here at The Mary Sue are fans of Amy Adams and don’t doubt her acting abilities, it’s kind of weird to see this picture of her on the set of Man of Steel and know that she’s meant to be Lois Lane. Because Lois Lane is, and always has been, a brunette. But since it’s Ms. Adams’ birthday today, we’ll just go with it. We will not sit here and rain on her parade, especially since she’s going to be in The Muppets later this year. So, Happy Birthday, Amy Adams! Kevin Costner is In Superman; Superman is a “Physical Cat”

Chalk this up as your oddly worded statement of the day. Zach Snyder would like us all to know the hero of his Superman movie has “got things to figure out, but he’s a physical cat.”

…we’re going to interpret that as meaning that we won’t get a film focused so much on the cerebral as Superman Returns and that it will have more punching and lifting.

In other news, Kevin Costner has joined the cast, and the movie is definitely a reboot.
