Oh Comic-Con, the wonders you bring us! So many, in fact, that the delights of this Community gag reel almost slipped past our notice. Woe would we have been if it had, though. Community bloopers rank among our favorite DVD features of all time, so getting them before the DVD release is a treat we didn’t expect. We would’ve missed Alison Brie demonstrating her rapping abilities, some inappropriate groping, and Chevy Chase inadvertently inventing some strangely visual slang. Oh, and we get to watch Danny Pudi and Alison Brie run around in their Inspector Spacetime costumes. The question is not if, readers, but when you will enjoy this video.

Joel McHale, besides sitting around getting nominated for awards, has a regular gig at E!, which is kind of a terrible channel, but McHale is well aware of this. He makes fun of it and its programming (and colossally good sport Ryan Seacrest) on a weekly basis in between shooting Community. But even better for us, he makes spoofy videos, like this take on the “Happy Birthday, David” video for Prometheus. McHale’s is above, the Michael Fassbender version is after the jump.

Following a crazy third season full of drama off-screen and wacky delight onscreen, Community, NBC‘s most neglected (by NBC) sitcom has found itself leading in nominations for the Critics Choice Television Awards with a grand total of six. While the awards show itself is young (it just started last year), it’s about time Community got a little recognition for the unique brand of silliness it brings to the airwaves. And internetwaves, for that matter. The same internet that may or may not have created the Community video game featured at the end of the season. You’ll have to find out after the jump.

Producer Damon Lindelof, like everyone else involved with the film, has been tight-lipped about the details of the forthcoming Star Trek sequel but he recently did an interview with TrekMovie.com in which he talked about the film without actually talking about the film. He did, however, mention the first look of the film will likely be granted to the San Diego Comic-Con audience. There’s also this pesky image from the MTV Movie Awards with director J.J. Abrams which may or may not feature a Klingon.

The Hollywood Reporter was given exclusive shots of Community‘s season finale — and they are in the style of 16-bit video games! The show’s third season ends tomorrow night with three episodes, with one last foray into glorious geekery. My only question is if this has something to do with the dreamatorium, or have Troy and Abed just officially lost their minds completely.

And once again, NBC‘s most neglected show Community is going above and beyond the realm of deep awesomeness and is set to feature an anime sequence in tonight’s episode. I can barely even stand how exciting this sounds, but even more than that, I am just so deeply heartwarmed that this show and its showrunner Dan Harmon clearly don’t bow to the lowest common denominator and basically do whatever they think will be cool, funny, and unique. And as a result, the show grows a passionate fan base while simultaneously confounding NBC executives who don’t seem to know what to do with this glorious, glorious show. I’m sorry, what was I saying? Oh, right! The anime sequence! More about that after the jump!

Is Community canceled? No one knows but you can bet your hat the show’s stars aren’t going to go down without a fight. Here’s Joel McHale doing his best Uncle Sam impression. There’s two others on Buzzfeed you might appreciate as well. What else did we see today? Hmm, something that rhymes with “rew Bunder Fames micture…”
