  12. Lightning, Thunderclouds, Thor 2

    Review

These are dark times. Dark and gritty times. Or so it would seem from our choices at the box office, where trends kicked up (but hardly established) by the Nolanverse Batman films continue to cloud every superhero franchise for miles around. This is a land where wonderment is traded for plot expedience, story pacing replaced by gorgeous, if rampant, CGI. Thor: The Dark World is no exception, being as dark as its title suggests. Fun to watch, but ultimately only slightly more substantial than its predecessor, T:TDW suffers from being the middle chapter of its series, if not a smaller piece in the giant puzzle that is the MCU. Its visual clout may be mighty, but its story lacks punch. Engage at your peril, for through this ethereal portal lie SPOILERS.

  14. Tom Hiddleston’s Choice for Lady Loki Is Pretty Much Perfect

    Peanut Butter and Chocolate

"Oh that’s a good question. We know that in the comics he comes back in the body of Sif. So I say the first obvious port of call is Jaimie Alexander." — Tom Hiddleston, asked what actress he'd choose to play a female Loki. Don't mind me, I'll just be over here luxuriating in the perfection of that mental image. (via: ComicBookMovie) Are you following The Mary Sue on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, & Google +?

  16. Jaimie Alexander Talks Sif’s Role in Thor: The Dark World, Whether We Can Expect a Love Triangle

I'm In A Glass Case of Emotion

On the Iron Man 3 red carpet Bleeding Cool caught up with Lady Sif herself, Jaimie Alexander, to talk about Thor: The Dark World, the trailer for which had just been released earlier that day. The extent of the 100% spoiler-free comments she made is that the Thor sequel "definitely [has] a darker feel" than its predecessor. Fitting, given the title. It's her more spoilery comments about the potential for a love triangle between Sif, Thor, and Jane that caught my attention, though. Vague unmarked spoilers are behind the cut. Come have feels with me.

  17. Thor’s Jaimie Alexander On Wonder Woman: It’s Embarrassing For Me As A Woman

    Great Hera!

Thor star Jaimie Alexander's name is one that pops up frequently on dream casting for Wonder Woman, and if you saw her kicking butt as Sif, you know why. But while the actress herself would love to play Diana, she's not sure she actually would if asked. Why? Well because no one treats Wonder Woman with respect, of course. 19. Jaimie Alexander Talks About Her Thor 2 Set Injury (And She’s Okay)

    Good News Everyone!

In September we got the news that Jaimie Alexander had been injured on the set of Thor 2, but just as quickly we received, from the actress herself, reassurances that she was recovering just fine and had sustained no permanent damage. She talked about how she got hurt, and the full extent of her injuries to the New York Post recently, however, and it turns out she was out of the shoot for a month!

  20. Thor: The Dark World Actor Suffers “Horrible Injury” On Set; Calm Down, It’s Not Hiddleston

    Don't Try This At Home

She may be playing a warrior goddess, but Jaimie Alexander isn't indestructible in real life. The actress, a.k.a Lady Sif, a.k.a. debatably the most badass part of Thor (and that includes the God of Thunder himself), has suffered a "horrible injury" on the set of Thor: The Dark World, now filming in London. There's no word on what the injury on question is or what it was caused by (did she try and lift Mjölnir? No, wait, this is real life), but apparently it could have had some very permanent effects, at least judging from a Tweet she posted:
