Bane Gets Back-Breaking Poses In His Lifelike TDKR Hot Toys Figure

Besides the artist who repaints character dolls, I’d probably say Hot Toys does the best job at replicating an actor’s precise looks in doll form. Their Loki, based on Tom Hiddleston’s character in The Avengers, still takes the cake for me but their recently revealed Bane from The Dark Knight Rises also does a pretty great job looking like actor Tom Hardy. This is also the first Hot Toys figure I’ve seen with its shirt off, which is vaguely uncomfortable. You’ll see why…

We like to joke a lot about Hot Toy’s incredibly detailed character replica toys, and how, while they primarily fill us with awe and desire, they’re also just a tiny bit creepy. Because they really, really look just like the movie stars they’re modeled after. So really it was only a matter of time before somebody decided to try doing stop motion with them, and the result weaves in and out of the Uncanny Valley like the Batpod through traffic.

Live With Tony Stark Thanks To Hot Toys’ New Avengers Iron Man Figure

Hot Toys keeps trying to make geeks go bankrupt. It’s not nice and I demand they stop immediately. Who am I kidding? KEEP MAKING THE AWESOME. We previously showcased their astoundingly realistic Loki statue as well as the moveable-haired Black Widow from their Avengers line. Just yesterday we were happily surprised to find out Agent Coulson is getting his time in the spotlight as well. But while we wait for full images of his figure to be released, Hot Toys has dropped Tony Stark on our doorstep. Take a look at his various accessories and let us know if you think the unmasked hero looks enough like Robert Downey Jr. for your tastes.

Stop-Action Short Features Black Widow, Breast Tricks [Video]

Well, who wouldn’t want to see this as a full-length movie? French-Canadian animator Patrick Boivin uses the Hot Toys Black Widow action figure for this, pitting Scarlett Johansson‘s Iron Man 2 undercover agent against a bevvy of characters including the T-1000, Michael Jackson, and Jack Bauer. Weird that the only weapons that can defeat T-1000 are her breasts when she clearly has the physical prowess to kill people with her bare hands, but I guess that’s the one thing nanomorph mimetic poly-alloy assassins can’t handle? Boobies? Okay then!
