Mom With Triplets Does Obvious Cosplay – Merida’s Brothers

It’s not often triplets find a suitable family costume so when one mom saw Pixar’s Brave featured three brothers, she knew it was only a matter of time before she’d dress her boys up. On her blog Three at Once she says she spent a month making their costumes for a Halloween trip to Disneyland. “The whole night the boys loved the attention they were getting for their costumes and it was nice to have them dressed as Disney characters,” she says. “All night they insisted on saying hi to all of the little girls dressed as Merida saying ‘it’s our sister.’”

Behold! Tiny Princess Captain America!

Writes Tumblr user brightcopperpenny,

“I made my three-year-old niece her first convention/Halloween costume this year. If you ask her who she is dressed as, she’ll reply, ‘Tiny Princess Captain America!’

On Halloween, we discovered that if you point to a kid in Captain American costume and ask her who he’s dressed as, she will also reply, ‘Tiny Princess Captain America!’”

Good God, that’s adorable. Like, more-adorable-than-Chris-Evans adorable. Luckily for all the other Tiny Princess Captain America wannabes out there, brightcopperpenny has posted a detailed tutorial on her Website on how she altered two commercially available patterns to make the costume. Check out more pictures under the jump.

How To Make a Witch Costume Less Cliché: Have a Prosthetics Artist For a Dad

Bryan Silva is a professional artist and sculptor, whose eleven-year-old daughter wanted to go as a witch for Halloween this year. Luckily, he knew just how to augment a black pointy had and a broomstick. With a terrifying facial transformation. And apparently this was just a test. After trying on the prosthetic, the family went out to buy the rest of the costume… without removing it.

Halloween. You’re doing it right. Here’s a before pic of Ms. Silva below.

Amazing Dad and Daughter Costume: Power Loader and Baby Ripley

Redditor rdt156 snapped this picture of his buddy’s Halloween costume, which was put together in three days. I bet the baby’s costume took even longer! According to rdt156, “She was super content. Loved all the attention and didn’t make a peep. When it was baby bedtime, mom took her home and he swapped her out for a stuffed monkey.”

Things We Saw Today: Big Bird Smacks Down Sexy Big Bird Costumes

Big Bird is getting a lot of press these days. Most recently, Buzzfeed revealed Sesame Street Workshop issued a cease and desist order on Yandy.com for selling the above costume and more “sexy” versions of their characters without permission. Update: Yandy.com emailed us to let us know that they considered this post to be using their already watermarked image without attribution and asked us to include a link. They even suggested some html to use! How nice. Here it is:
