Children of the 90s rejoiced when they found out Disney was working on a series sequel to Boy Meets World. And Girl Meets World actually sounded awesome. Then Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel signed on and all was right with the world. There was just one important thing left – finding an actress to play the daughter of Cory and Topanga. The lucky duck is 11-year-old Rowan Blanchard!

When we found out Disney was working on a sequel series to the 90s sitcom Boy Meets World I just about blew a gasket. Normally I’d balk at such an idea but the plan was to revolve the story around Cory and Topenga’s daughter and call it Girl Meets World. And they were trying to attach the original stars, Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel. All that I could get behind but now it’s time to rejoice without fear of jinxing ourselves – Savage and Fishel are in!!

Last week we told you Disney was putting together a Boy Meets World sequel series, Girl Meets World. At first glance we assumed it was another terrible idea from Hollywood but then we found out it was going to follow Cory and Topanga’s daughter and (hopefully) star the original two actors and we were sold. Thanks to some casting calls, we know a little more about where the new series will take us and it’s someplace really cool.

Your immediate reaction might be to groan but hold off. Disney is planning a new television series that would act as a sequel to the 1993 sitcom, Boy Meets World. Why is this good news? The series will be titled Girl Meets World and feature Cory and Topanga’s daughter in the lead role. My 1990s feels just came a’knockin’.
