Here’s Where You’ll Be Able To Find The Ending To Star Wars: The Clone Wars

When the Lucasfilm acquisition happened, Disney decided to end Cartoon Network’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars in order to kickstart a new animated series on Disney XD, Star Wars Rebels. “But what about Clone Wars???” we shouted! You’ll be happy to know the series will be getting an “end,” just not how you expected.

George Lucas’ Son Refutes Star Trek Actor Rumor, Says His Father Is “Constantly Talking” To J.J. Abrams About Star Wars

Although George Lucas is technically retiring from most of his duties at LucasFilm, that doesn’t mean he’s done with Star Wars. Far from it. Lucas’ son was interviewed recently and gave us an idea of just how involved his father is with J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII.

George Lucas, c. 1981, Tells Us His Plans For the Star Wars Prequels, Where the Force Is Like Yoga

A transcript of an early ’80s conference with George Lucas, wherein he discusses his prequel ideas with Jedi director Richard Marquand, Empire and Jedi writer Lawrence Kasdan, and Empire and Jedi producer Howard Kazanjian, has made its way into the wild as part of the upcoming book The Making of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Some of it’s pretty similar to what we ended up seeing. Some of it isn’t. And some of it involves yoga. No, not Yoda. Yoga.

Carrie Fisher Mentions Getting In Shape For Star Wars VII, We Can’t Tell If She’s Joking

“I like being bought by Disney, because they never wanted to buy me before. I’m glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape. So I’m really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything.”Carrie Fisher speaking to and audience at the BMO Centre via the Calgary Herald.

A few months ago, Fisher seemingly spilled the beans about her involvement in the next Star Wars trilogy then her publicist spoke up to tell us she was only joking. But George Lucas went on record to say she’d basically been signed so we were extra confused. Disney CEO Bob Iger at least admitted there were “discussions.”

So how should we take this latest statement. Fisher is quite the comedian and obviously she was joking about being bought by Disney but them sending her a trainer seems logical if she’s expected to be physical in her role as Leia in J.J. Abrams’ film. An official announcement would be nice, Disney.

It Belongs in a Museum!

George Lucas to Open Art Museum of Just His Stuff

I realize now that this title is a little vague. I assure you that George Lucas is not attempting to open an art museum just for things he has painted or drawn, rather he’s looking to found an art museum full of art that he owns. That includes illustrators like Maxfield Parrish, Norman Rockwell, N.C. Wyeth and yes, indeed, plenty of design art and props from the Star Wars movies.
