10 Good Guys Who Are Major-League Jerks

Sometimes good guys are actually “good” guys. They treat people well, they help old ladies across the street, their good intentions are matched by their positive (not necessarily chipper or anything, but at least nice) personality.

And sometimes good guys are just jerks.

10 Worst Case Casting Scenarios

Whenever we hear about a movie being remade, or a book being turned into a movie that probably should just be left alone, or a TV show that has no business being made into a movie, the next thing we do, after swallow a small amount of bile, is wonder who will be cast in this abomination. Sometimes, you luck out (see: J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek). But sometimes, you cringe at the thought of who might be stepping into a role (see: M. Night Shyamalan’s Avatar: The Last Airbender), or what childhood memories would be crushed next (21 Jump Street).

Since we’re gluttons for punishment, and sometimes stay up all night worrying about these kinds of things, we’re going to share 10 Worst Case Scenario movie adaptations and reboots of how Hollywood could go totally wrong.

Good News Everyone!

Super Bowl Video Roundup: The Avengers, Fat Dogs, Squeaky Porcupines

There’s a certain groundhog who likes to make predictions about the wether and then cover his tracks by saying that “it was winter somewhere.” He’s got nothing on everyone’s favorite squeaky porcupine, who predicted last night’s Giants victory over the Patriots a week ago.

But I’d hazard a guess that the majority of you aren’t terrifically interested in the game itself, and are more into the stuff that happened in the all-too few commercial breaks in this unusually quick Super Bowl game. Worry not, we’ve got two different versions of the Avengers spot, Star Wars, and Matthew Broderick below.

Ferris Bueller’s Second Day Off. Yes, That Is Matthew Broderick [VIDEO]

It’s been over 25 years since poor Ferris Bueller had his last day off. The guy deserves it, no? What you’re watching is 10 pure seconds of unadulterated bliss. It’s also a teaser for a much larger Super Bowl commercial. For what? We don’t know and we don’t care.

I think trying to do a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off remake would be a terrible idea but an extended commericial during the Super Bowl may be just what the doctor ordered for fans of the classic 80s flick. It was posted by the YouTube user chuckachucka2012 (with no other videos) who writes, ”We hate to be such a tease, but on a day like today, we just have to. Stick it out until the Super Bowl, or take a ‘day off’ on Monday and catch the big reveal.” CinemaBlend theorizes actor Matthew Broderick looks like he’s in a hotel so perhaps this is a commercial for a travel website? Priceline.com recently announced they would no longer be using William Shatner as their spokesperson. Could Broderick be his successor? Regardless, I can’t wait to see the entire thing, and if it’s only a minute, I hope that have an extended edition online later.
