Wait, what?

Looks like you came here from Geekosystem. Don't worry, everything is still here. We've just combined forces with The Mary Sue to bring you more and better content, all in one place.

Dunkin’ Donuts

  1. Rejoice and Be Merry, Friends, for National Doughnut Day is Upon Us!

Here at the Geekosystem offices, we live every single day as a celebration of the noble doughnut. This one even more than usual, though.

If you're anything like us, each day feels like National Doughnut Day, because let's face it -- there's no wrong time to eat a doughnut. Today, though, is actually National Doughnut Day, and we're delighted to celebrate in the traditional manner -- the consumption of gratuitous quantities of fried dough, preferably covered in frosting and sprinkles -- even if having just one day a year to officially celebrate the finest of all of the junk foods does seem a touch...inadequate. Whatever, we're not here to talk politics, we're here to tell you where to eat free doughnuts today, so if that's something that interests you, read on!

  3. Dunkin’ Donuts Introduces Pork Donuts

Just as Dunkin' Donuts announced it has signed a deal with NBA megastar LeBron James to help promote the doughy brand in Asia, they also announced that they'll be introduced pork donuts over in China in an attempt to satiate local tastes. Unfortunately, these "savory donuts" aren't the only ones Dunkin' Donuts is working on, as CEO Nigel Travis puts it, they have "a range of other savory products that [they] have been testing and introducing country by country." This reminds us of those Meat Munchkins.

  4. Dunkin’ Donuts Meat Munchkins Now Exist

Popular donuts purveyors Dunkin' Donuts are now apparently selling meat Munchkins. Formally known as "Sausage Pancake Bites," these consist of "pancake ball[s], pre-soaked in maple syrup, and filled with sausage." For a limited time: 3 meat Munchkins for $1.59, 6 for $3.00 at participating locations, and every individual sausage-maple orb has 100 calories and 7 grams of fat. Dunkin' Donuts on Why They Matter:

Everyone loves a traditional pancake and sausage breakfast, but in our typical busy day it's almost impossible to find the time it takes to sit down and enjoy it. With our new Pancake Bites, we've put the traditional taste of pancakes and sausage into a portable, poppable snack that you can take with you on the go, in the car, at work or any time day or night.
