Alisa Stern, creator of the Doctor puppet resembling Matt Smith from Doctor Who, swears she started work on this video before the BBC announced “The Snowmen” Christmas Special (which, if you live in the U.S. you’ll be watching soon!). It’s got a familiar look to it that will inspire memories of Christmases past and has a happy ending. What more could you ask for?

This New Doctor Who Spot Makes Me Really Scared To Watch The Christmas Special

We’ve seen the latest trailer, we’ve seen two mini-sodes, but still, the Doctor Who Christmas special feels so far away! But right this second, I’m ok with that. As if The Snowmen themselves weren’t scary enough, this new TV spot might make you watch the episode hidden under your covers. The part that really scares me? At the 15 second mark. I think I’ll stay inside all winter. Yup. Sounds like a plan.

A New Doctor Who Christmas Special Minisode! [VIDEO]

The last Doctor Who minisode we posted saw our Doctor unusually grumpy (which is not a surprise considering where we left him.) This one is titled “Vastra Investigates” and, as you can imagine, features the lovely Madam Vastra having some fun with an officer of Scotland Yard. We’re still a few weeks off from seeing this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special but that doesn’t mean other people haven’t gotten a glimpse. We know there’s going to be creepy snowmen involved but we didn’t know they’d have actual personalities. We now know they do thanks to one, very special person. Who is it? We’ll leave this huge spoiler until after the jump but I will say this – it’s someone we adore here at The Mary Sue.

We’re all waiting (somewhat impatiently) for the arrival of this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe. Luckily, we now have a look at two more preview clips from the episode. You may remember the very cliffhanger-y prequel from yesterday, these are not nearly as heart-pounding but they are fun to watch. Particularly that second exchange. Good news though, Christmas day is nearly here!
