  1. Things We Saw Today: The Batgirl Cosplay Bar Has Been Raised Exponentially

She is vengeance. She is bedazzled.

That's it. This cosplay of the Batgirl #37 cover is flawless. Don't even try to top it. (Psst. Actually please do. We'd be highly entertained.)

  2. Things We Saw Today: Groot Is Super-Buff In This New Avengers Variant Cover

All that dancing really paid off.

DO YOU EVEN BENCH, GROOT? (cover by Francesco Francavilla, via Comic Book Resources' exclusive reveal)

  3. Meanwhile, In Rumorland, A Guardian of the Galaxy Will Play A Big Role In The Avengers 3

Take it with a grain of salt. Not an actual grain of salt.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is the first time TMS has gotten a movie rumor from a wrestling site.

  4. Watch Dave Bautista and Michael Rooker Reenact The GotG Dancing Groot Scene

Get down with your bad self, Merle Dixon.

The video quality's not the greatest here, but I'm pretty sure seeing Michael Rooker groove Groot-style to "I Want You Back" at Wizard World Chicago in glorious 720p would be too much for my brain to handle, so this is fine.

  5. Dave Bautista Isn’t Screwing Around with His Ice Bucket Challenge; Hemsworth, Sackhoff, D’Onofrio Also Accept

I like to think no one's challenged Scarlett Johansson yet because they're all too scared.

What's that? Two Thors accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge? (Yes, Vincent D'Onofrio counts as a Thor–haven't you seen Adventures in Babysitting?) Katee Sackhoff's Ice Bucket Challenge is the most heartfelt I've seen so far—sadly, it is unembeddable, but you can see it here. The golden belt for this round (that's a wrestling thing, right?) has to go to Bautista, above, who isn't here for any weak ice bullcrap.

  6. Guardians of the Galaxy Premiere Red Carpet Brings Out Marvel’s Stars In Their Finest (Plus Some Gatecrashers)

There are some very attractive people in Hollywood, did you know?

If you are prone to fainting when seeing extremely attractive people being extremely attractive, you might want to skip this post. Marvel Entertainment rolled out the red carpet in Hollywood last night for Guardians of the Galaxy, and more than a few familiar faces showed up.

  7. Dave Bautista Jealous of Guardians of the Galaxy Costar Karen Gillan’s Hair

    And I'll Form the Head!

Join the club, Dave Bautista. Everybody wants Karen Gillan's hair. Everyone except the space pirate lord Nebula, who Gillan portrays sans-hair in Guradians of the Galaxy. Bautista plays the similarly shorn character of Drax the Destroyer in the film, and is puzzled by Gillan's quick regrowth here. Presumably Gillan paid a heavy price to the dark gods to get it back, and that's why she's so tiny and plastic. But some folks on Guardians of the Galaxy will never regrow their hair...

  8. Dance-Offs, Easter Eggs, and Soul Mates: Best Answers From the Guardians of the Galaxy Cast’s Facebook Q&A

    Spaaaaaaaaaaace

To coincide with the release of the new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer—which showed us Rocket Raccoon speaking and gave us the first “I Am Groot”—stars Karen Gillan, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, director James Gunn, and Marvel Studios honcho Kevin Feige took to Facebook for a fan Q&A. The topics ranged from serious—Diesel talking about how playing Groot helped him heal after the death of friend Paul Walker—to hysterical (did you see in the title where I said dance-off?). Here are some of the best:

  10. Zoe Saldana Is Confirmed For Guardians of the Galaxy, Talks Her Latest Alien Role

Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. Yes.

We'd heard the rumors that Zoe Saldana would play female lead Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy before, but—speaking for myself personally, here—I didn't want to assume they'd come true lest I jinx that wonderful bit of casting. Looks like my skepticism paid off, as the casting was not jinxed and Saldana has in fact been confirmed as Gamora. You're welcome.
