  1. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Gameplay Looks Smashing [Videos]

I have neither the intent nor the willpower to conceal my fanboyish bias towards the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise nor my high hopes for MvC3, and the gameplay videos coming out of E3 are doing nothing to sate my awe.

While a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen warns that this is still a game in development, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 looks slick enough in its current incarnation: The new animation looks great, with more of a comic book-y feel brought about by the fonts, the cel shading, and the onscreen pop-ups, the three-character tag teams are just as speedy as before, there are still absurd combos and juggles of many man hits, and Devil May Cry's Dante look as fast and overpowered as you'd expect him to be.

The game is set for release in 2011.
