  1. You, Yes You, Can Crochet Your Own Tiny Wolverine

    Do Try This At Home

To celebrate the release of the latest X-Men film, X-Men: Days of Future Past, here’s a fun themed project you can put together in a day. Much like every X-Men movie, I’ve decided to focus on Wolverine. With each film, the big screen has served as a catalyst to build up his character, so in kind, we will be building up our very own crocheted Wolverine. I’ve turned this tough, wiseass into an adorable amigurumi, and with this tutorial, you can too.

  2. Tortoises Nude No More Thanks to Neat Knitted Cozies

    Do Try This At Home

On Katie Bradley's blog, she says that she sort of stumbled into the rescue and rehabilitation of tortoises, but a dozen domed friends later, she's hooked. And in her spare time she uses a crochet hook to make little cozies for them, selling them (and patterns for those enterprising friends of tortoises who are lucky enough to have opposable thumbs) on Etsy with a portion of the proceeds going towards International Reptile Rescue.

  3. These Snailvengers Will Save the World One Inch at a Time

    Submitted For Your Approval

Loki and Fury are there too, because if you can make crocheted snail versions of Loki and Fury it's a crime not to, frankly. And as if the Snailvengers aren't cool enough on their own, Laura Partridge's Etsy shop also has crocheted hat-scarf combos (or scoodies) based on the Avengers and their favorite Asgardian nemesis. And the Loki scoodie has horns. Check 'em out behind the jump.

  6. Crocheted Viking and Dwarf Beard Helmets are Perfect for Those Without Facial Hair
