The Veronica Mars movie Kickstarter met its goal in just over ten hours but with just 30-some hours left to goal the question becomes, what do we do now? I mean, besides make the movie. Head to Comic-Con International in San Diego, of course!
One thing on the minds of Total Recall fans when they first heard about the Len Wiseman reboot was, “Is there going to be a three-breasted woman?” I’ll admit, I was curious myself as to whether or not they would include that unusual detail from the original but we found out the answer was yes. Then the marketing geniuses behind the Colin Farrell-starring feature decided to bring her to Comic-Con International in San Diego and actress Kaitlyn Leeb got more than she bargained for. Fans thought her tripple-breasted prosthetic was real. Picture of Ms. Leeb after the jump.
Lots of things happened at Comic-Con last weekend, most of which you’ll probably never see or hear about. The big announcements are splashed all over the internet while the little amazing things slip through the cracks. But if you’re there to witness one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments in person, your joy will know no bounds. That must have been what it was like for the audience of the annual Starship Smackdown panel in which Thor and X-Men: First Class co-writer Ashley Edward Miller, Legend of the Seeker producer Kay Reindl, Star Wars: Clone Wars writer Steve Melching, Free Enterprise producer Robert Meyer Burnett, Geek Magazine editor Jeff Bond, and artist Chris Gossett joined to decide which sci-fi spaceship is the best in a bracket competition. Except they couldn’t. So they asked the audience for help. And Neil DeGrasse Tyson gave his expert astrophysicist (read: fan) opinion. Watch and be awed.
Cosplay is fun no matter what but when you’ve been doing it a few years, you start to think outside the box and see how you can mix things up a bit. There’s also those first-timers out there who want to start with something a little less complicated (what am I saying, cosplay is always complicated!) that’s more of an outfit than a costume yet still portrays their favorite character. In the last few years, genderswap and alternative versions of costumes have gotten popular in the cosplay world. Here’s a collection of just those kinds of cosplays from Comic-Con International 2012.
Whether it was the kid’s idea or their parents, we’re thankful for kids cosplaying at this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego. Why? The sheer amount of costuming going on at Comic-Con is mind-boggling. Trying to come up with a “best of” list would be foolish (especially considering we weren’t there to see them with our own eyes), not to mention insane, but we have come across several online that really impressed us. So here’s our first roundup of Comic-Con cosplay pictures for your fan-gazing perusal.

We’ll be along with a recap of some of the news you may have missed at Comic-Con International yesterday in a bit. This just couldn’t rest. It was revealed at the Vertigo Comics panel yesterday - Neil Gaiman is set to do a Sandman prequel mini-series for them in 2013. With art by J.H. Williams III. I know. We couldn’t believe it either. I believe this calls for a certain image…

They’ve also released a first look at the upcoming season of The Walking Dead! Hit the jump for details on both.
