News for the Future of Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter

Deadline has good news and eh news from the field of new television in 2014: their sources say that a Peggy Carter series is moving along towards being greenlit, but that it might show up as a bridge between a two part second season of Agents of SHIELD.

Agent Maria Hill Teaches Grover a Thing Or Two On Sesame Street

Courtesy is very important when you’re working with Nick Fury. OK, OK, you wouldn’t like the Hulk when he’s angry. But you really don’t want to be rude to the Director.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Now Has A Synopsis, Maria Hill, and More

Captain America: The Winter Soldier may not have a poster or trailer yet, but we now have a good idea of what Steve Rogers will be facing in his third big screen appearance. Marvel has released a plot summary for the upcoming film, giving us a bit more information on the involvement of SHIELD and how the film connects to The Avengers. Plus, actors Cobie Smulders and Anthony Mackie have contributed to the news with their own information on how Captain America: The Winter Soldier is its own unique Marvel film.

Maria Hill (And Some Other People) In Three New Agents of SHIELD Promos!

We’ve got another movie-to-TV part crossover for Agents of SHIELD: Cobie Smulders‘s Maria Hill appears in one of the newest trailers for the upcoming Marvel show, and we are very excited. Who wouldn’t be, though? Maria Hill is an incredibly interesting character who didn’t get much screen time during The Avengers, so the chance to see her on AoS and learn more about the film canon of the character is a welcome opportunity.

There are also two other short previews that came out for the show recently. See them under the cut!

New SHIELD News: Castings, Crossovers, and a Firefly Alum!

More news from the Agents of SHIELD front: we’ve got a mysterious new cast member. Who is this guy playing? And which Firefly veteran is making waves in the nerdoverse with rumors of their involvement? Beware spoilers, under the cut!

What’s Next for the Women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Maria Hill is a character to watch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After all, her immediate superiors are either officially dead or just royally pissed off the board of shadowy figures that apparently has enough power to allow American government employees to make in-no-way-covert strikes on German soil and not cause an international incident.

But what does Cobie Smulders, once Joss Whedon‘s pick for Wonder Woman, have to say about her future in the MCU? Crave Online talked to her and Kat Dennings (Thor‘s Darcy) about a number of the MCU’s female characters and what Winter Soldier, The Dark World, Agents of SHIELD, and even Age of Ultron.

Stars Shine At The Iron Man 3 Red Carpet But Robert Downey Jr. Doesn’t Wear Anything Fun

Last night we posted a livestream of the Iron Man 3 premiere from the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Today, Disney has graciously shared some images from the red carpet and after party. I guess I was spoiled by Robert Downey Jr. in lederhosen but I’m a little let down he didn’t wear anything wacky. Take a look at the stars from the film and see who else popped up from the Marvel Universe.

Well, the S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot has wrapped, so now it’s just time for waiting, right? Surely there isn’t any more information on the show that we can milk out of Joss Whedon and crew, so let’s just await its inevitable greenlighting as a full series, filming, and finally… its airing on television.

Oh, who are we kidding, Whedon’s going to be answering questions about S.H.I.E.L.D. for the next year. This round, he talks about Marvel characters, Cobie Smulders, and the series’ overall tone.
