Chrono Trigger is far and away one of my absolute favorite video games, even though I did lose all my save progress during an ill-fated car trip with the PlayStation version. The characters and game mechanics are great, but it's the music that really sets it apart. Anyone that's played the game knows what I'm talking about. So, believe me when I say you should absolutely listen to this Chrono Trigger/Jay-Z mashup album.
If the Internet is good for anything that isn't porn or playing video games online, it's that if something is conceivable, someone probably already thought of it and you can find a community with which to discuss it. Anyone who visits any online social community is probably already aware how much love the Internet has for the hilarious but consistently sad comedy Futurama, and one of Squaresoft's better video games before they lost touch with their industry, Chrono Trigger. It probably won't be surprising to know that there's a Futurama-Chrono Trigger mashup out there in the wilds of the Internet, but did you it doesn't stop at just one?
Almost two years ago, Square Enix attempted to prevent a fan-made Chrono Trigger sequel, Crimson Echoes, from ever releasing to the public. The project uses sprites from the original Chrono Trigger, so Square Enix kind of had a point, in that the fan-made sequel was infringing on their intellectual property. However, a day ago on reddit, a user named buu700 posted what he claims to be the final release of Crimson Echoes for all to download and enjoy.
