It's A World of Laughter A World of Tears

Tom Hiddleston, Kristen Bell, Anthony Mackie, & More Share Their Earliest Disney Memories [VIDEO]

The Nerdist channel spoke with actors on the red carpet of the D23 Expo a few weeks ago and were curious – what were their earlier memories of the Disney brand. Hear what Tom Hiddleston, Kristen Bell, Anthony Mackie, and more had to say. Personally, I’m split between seeing Cinderella in theaters where they gave us awesome sticker books and the time I met Robin Hood (fox version) at Disney World and he asked me to marry him because we both had red hair. I had a very interesting childhood.

What’s your earliest Disney memory?

Things We Saw Today: A Walnut That Looks Like Chewbacca

Writes DeviantArt user Ripplin, “I have a huge black walnut tree in my backyard, and yesterday, I came across the remains from one of the nuts that bears a striking resemblance to a character we all love.” Just don’t eat it, it would probably make him angry. (via Cute Overload

Tom Hiddleston Tapped To Play Captain Hook For Disney’s The Pirate Fairy

All kinds of news is coming out of the D23 Expo in California this weekend (we previously heard about casting for Finding Dory) but this bit took us by surprise. Christina Hendricks and Tom Hiddleston are setting off for the high seas with Disney’s animated film, The Pirate Fairy. Not only will Hiddleston be playing Captain Hook, he’ll sing, too.

Things We Saw Today: Harley Quinn As Superman

Well here’s something I never thought I’d see. Harley Quinn dressed up as Superman. You can thank Eric Stettmeier of the Toyriffic blog for swapping Harley into all sorts of personas. You’ll also see  her as Wonder Woman, a Stormtrooper, Bob Ross and more. Yes, I said Bob Ross. Now check out what else we saw today.

Christina Hendricks Talks Wonder Woman, Outs Brother As Doll Owner

“I grew up on the TV show, and I had Wonder Woman Underoos, and my brother had a Wonder Woman doll — sorry, Aaron, you’re exposed. And Nicolas said, when we were on set, ‘I want you to be Wonder Woman.’ And I think he is such an extraordinary and exceptional director, that if he asked me to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat … Hopefully the stars would align. It would be really fun. It would be cool, wouldn’t it? I’d get to kick ass.”Christina Hendricks, who is in Drive, which opened this weekend and is directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, who has said he would like to do a reboot of Wonder Woman with Hendricks as the lead, and it might just happen if his reboot of Logan’s Run is successful. Hendricks is also nominated for an Emmy tonight for her work on AMC‘s Mad Men, so let’s wish her some good vibes and transfer those vibes to the Logan’s Run reboot so she can then become Wonder Woman.
