Monday Cute: Otter Playing With XBox Controller

Did I mention that the otter was also edible? Mike’s Amazing Cakes baked this one up, for what purpose we do not know. I’m going to assume it was on customer request… but who knows? I’m just glad to see the little guy doesn’t have a head set. I have a feeling I know what that lobby sounds like. More pictures below!

Hello Kitty, We Will Add Your Biological & Technological Distinctiveness To Our Own & It Will Be Delicious

You will be assimilated. In my stomach. A Hello Kitty/Star Trek Borg mash-up is surprising enough but this is a cake. Laura from El Laboratorio de las tartas created this delicious creature but the best part of the whole story is, “Unfortunately, the birthday girl was not as familiar with the franchise and confused with Terminator Kitty.” Birthday girl remains awesome.

How to Make An Edible Sarlacc Pit Out of A Bundt Cake

Thrill, as almond slivers become pretty slick looking teeth. Be amazed, at how well chocolate covered gummy worms and strawberries combine to look like tentacles and a beak.

Stand in shock, because this idea is perfect and yet never occurred to you before.

How To Make Princess Peach Cupcakes With Tiny Crowns and Then Die of Cuteness and Sugar Overload

These are made with peach flavored cupcake batter, filled with peach filling (using real peaches), but, oddly enough, do not feature peach flavored icing. Then they get tiny crowns. Which is probably two steps past the point at which I would give up on completing any of them and just eat the whole batch.

Face it: these cupcakes are more regal than you. Probably sweeter, too. Learn how to make them here.

The Avengers’ Tea Party, Immortalized as a Little Girl’s Birthday Cake

Ant was entrusted with a very sacred task: crafting her three-year-old niece Jayla’s birthday cake for her Avengers-themed birthday party. And since Ant is a professional cake decorator and bakery owner, and her niece always invites her Avengers figurines to her tea-parties, the above cake, based on the Avengers Babies art of Gurihiru (who also draws the Last Airbender comics), was born.
