C2E2 Cosplay & More!

Two years ago I attended my first Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2 for short). I wasn’t able to make it last year but made a triumphant return last weekend. I sat on the Comix Chix panel (~~to be posted and linked shortly~~), picked up some great art, and saw and participated in some fun cosplay. Take a look at our photo diary of the event.

When I heard the description of what this video would be, it sounded cool. “Thought you might be interested in a project I made for my husband for his birthday, a collection of re-created television show intros based on his life, friends, and interests,” Leigh Lahav wrote to us. And then I actually watched. I’m now giving Leigh a standing ovation and I hope her husband Oren gave her a big kiss. Watch as Leigh injects herself, her husband, and his entire life into the television openings of Adventure Time, The Office, and tons more.

It’s Sunday Morning; Have Some Adventure Time Pancakes [VIDEO]

I still haven’t watched Adventure Time (I’m waiting for it to come to Netflix later this month), but I love pancakes. Making them has been something of an obsession of mine since I was a wee nerd. So I was kind of gobsmacked watching this video of Mexico City-based pancake artist/wizard Rogelio casually making Adventure Time pancakes while chatting with customers like making glob-darned edible art in the shape of Jake and Finn ain’t even no thing.

PS: Bacon pancakes, makin’ bacon pancakes. Take some bacon and I’ll put it in a pancake.

I Can’t Show the Latest Fionna and Cake Episode, So Here’s Their iOS Game

Adventure Time‘s second full episode dedicated to the genderswapped (and slightly older) versions of Finn and Jake, Fionna and Cake aired last night, and if I could show it to you all, I would. Because then I could watch it too. But I can’t, so here’s the official trailer for Fionna’s official iOS game, Fionna Fights, in some ways a sequel to Jumping Finn, a previous Adventure Time game for iOS.
