Watch Comic Books Come To Life For Superman’s Birthday

In honor of Superman’s 75th anniversary, Zack Snyder and Bruce Timm worked with Warner Bros. Animation to create something really spectacular. There’s not as much Lois Lane as we’d like (read: almost none) but this is an incredibly dynamic look at the history of Superman.

LOVE IT. I wish they could have left out that uninspiring disasterporn last movie though.

  • Abhinav Jain

Its still a part of the 75 year legacy.

  • Captain ZADL

    But they ignored Superman Returns!

  • Abhinav Jain

They left out a lot of things. Doesn’t really mean anything negative.

  • Captain ZADL

    You’re just being contrary. :p

MoS is still a shame to the franchise, as were a few other things. So it’s still a shame that they had to include it.

Superman Returns is hardly any better given how slavish it was to the old Christopher Reeves movies. And since I liked Man of Steel, I’m glad they included it in this video.

  • Captain ZADL

It’s OK if you liked it, but I hated it. And that’s OK too.

I’m glad they left out Superman Returns as well, it was wretched (as were the later Christopher Reeves films). I just wish they could have ignored MoS.

It was uninspiring, and that’s the worst thing I can think of to say about a Superman film.

Was that four new supermen after the death of superman? O.o i thought it was only cyborg superman, superboy and steel

  • Elias Algorithm

I can see including it but almost the entire end of the video was Snyder patting himself on the back. It’s distracting.

Lois & Clark should have been in there, too!

  • Mark Brown

The fourth was “The Kryptonian” –the Eradicator (a Kryptonian AI, incarnated in a meat-suit), reflecting what Superman would be without Clark (i.e., a rigid, brutal 90s anti-hero).

  • Nuuni Nuunani

Ooooooh~ Thank you very much for that.

  • Rafi Mankassirain

Despite it’s length and occasional omissions here and there, I loved it. I salute to you Man of Steel! May you have another prosperous 75 years!
