So how do you, dear author and fellow commentors, think the game turned out? I've only seen the cinematics on Youtube but it looked like Kerrigan was the awesome heroine I expected to see.

The treatment that Wings of Liberty's ending receive here is a bit harsh IMO. Yeah, the way the cutscene is... "filmed" is clichéd, but what happens in itself is the conclusion of a tormented/desperate love story (which included Kerrigan since in Brood War she spared Raynor, giving a weird clue about her feelings) and the delivrance of a man from his inner demon - because yeah, all along the way he doesn't ask himself what Kerrigan wants, but that's because all he sees is the mistake he made and that means he denies what she became (because that's a consequence of the mistake and not the "real" Kerrigan). Therefore I think the conclusion of WOL wasn't facepalm-inducing, cause it was... logical, in a way, it was either that or Raynor died trying (or commiting suicide) or the continuation of their little love/hate game.

Kerrigan as a zerg doesn't seem a strong character to me - or not so strong. First, she's totally brainwashed in the first opus, then she only seeks revenge acting like a lambda motherbrain with her troops (but the origin of this vengeance remains intriguing since it's from her human former self and is some sort of contradction)... She follows a one track mind of vengeance and murder which is solely disrupted by her feelings towards Raynor (making the love story the more interesting aspect of the character in the end)... Not so original to me (but still awesome I'll admit, she kicks ass).

What WOL accomplished was setting the character free, by rebooting human aspects that will give her depth in HOTS, and Flashpoint follows that path. I have the same fears as you regarding Kerrigan's further orientation, I just hope Raynor will be involved, even if it's to be told that he is a selfish jerk, because that relationship between them is story gold according to me.

I dunno, I don't hold out as much hope for Blizzard games as I used to, I hope that Sarah Kerrigan has that layer of complexity in Heart of the Swarm... but I don't believe she will.

Yeah, one thing that ticked me off about Kerrigan in Starcraft 2 was her ORGANIC FUCKING HIGH HEELS.

Considering that buggy wingspan she has, she walks around on those stupid fucking high heels, the one good thing about her being depowered is the sensible footwear.

Hi sis. Glad you mentioned our conversation about the complexities of Kerrigan. Blizzard isn't exactly known for fantastic female characters and if she gets eviscerated as a character as only Blizzard can sometimes do,(see Illidan, Warcraft), it will be a real disappointment. She's got more layers than a 7 layer dip right now and I hope we get to see all of it in all its glory.

Kerrigan. The main reason I'm a Zerg fan, and I don't even play StarCraft! Yes, she's hot, but more than that, she's just awesome. Strong, determined, ruthless, but there's a sort of protective-mother sort of aspect to her in the Brood War. The Brood are her children, her companions, and she cares for them - even while sending them off to war. I like that.
