You Can Now Buy Prop Replicas From Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Recommended Videos

Lucasfilm is selling amazingly detailed prop replicas made by the talented folks at PropShop (who worked on the film). The collaboration gives collectors and fans the opportunity to own an FN-2187 Stormtrooper Helmet, a Kylo Ren Helmet, Poe Dameron’s X-Wing Helmet, Rey’s staff, and even a limited edition melted Darth Vader helmet that Emo Kylo Ren could only dream of reciting Hamlet to.

You can see the eight products currently available here, but the prices are pretty indicative of the craftsmanship. Watching the work that PropShop puts into each item in the video above makes the prices understandable (they also come with display pedestals), but these wonderful items are going to be out of my reach for….a long time (unless a secret admirer out there is feeling generous?). This is definitely an awesome chance for Star War fans with a bit more spare cash to splurge.

For those of us who don’t have a couple thousand bills laying around, there are always other alternatives for Star Wars collecting like Kat Kosplay’s awesome recreation of Rey’s staff, this Shapeways Kylo Ren mask (with all the battle marks!), and, as always, your local stores. For now, I’ll just admire how much love and effort went into making these props and covet them from afar. I also acknowledge that if I was permitted to own a Rey Staff replica I’d be insufferably playing with it all the time and it’s probably not a responsibility I’m ready for.
